Don't feel too bad (although it is your fault!) Daughter came home for Christmas eve. Was here less than 24 hours. She told us and we bought boyfriend some gifts. It turned into a few gifts. Son, on the other hand, waited until a day or two before to tell us that girlfriend was coming Christmas Eve and leaving Christmas morning too! So, in the end boyfriend had 3 nice gifts and girlfriend had two very small gifts. Son didn't know what size she was or any other useful information. Luckly girlfriends parents picked her up at 1 am on Christmas eve, so the difference in the gifts didn't show. She opened her little stuff the night before we exchanged the larger gifts! (how do you not know what size or anything else after dating for 4 years? What is their status? I think they are just good friends more than boyfriend and girlfriend, and unless someone better comes along, they will stay together. Very odd.)

Hey all! I second Pember's desire to take 2008 out back and flog it senseless. I am so happy to see this year go bye-bye. If anyone knows of a job opening for a talented IT geek, my best friend got layed off when his company closed on Monday. He has no degree, but craploads of experience. (He's gonna work on the degree thing if a job doesn't come along, but he just bought a house in May and would rather work.) Also last night was my Dad's last night at work, he's optimistic about figuring something out at this point. That and all the koi this year for me personally, I think the good flogs are coming out tonight to beat this year!
