I dunno. I must be pretty resistent; I'll get cold symptoms for three or four days then feel fine.

Lucky dog. I have to watch that it doesn't go down to my lungs (asthma). Once it's there, I'll have a cough for weeks on end.

Tomorrow now that you've jinxed yourself.

I don't think I've had the flu in quite a few years but I remember it as bad. Once the asthma developed, doc told me to get a flu shot every year.

Son had flu a couple years ago. Wasn't too bad but wasn't fun. He gets a flu shot now too.

Yep, you should be feeling those symptoms in about an hour. You're really testing the flu powers that be.

The flu shot only covers about three strains of viruses, the three that the Center for Disease Control think will be the worst of the year, the kind that put you in teh hospital and can kill. The hundreds of others, the shot doesn't do a thing for.

Yup. She's back to her normal hungry loitering self on the walks. She still smacks her mouth a lot though so I guess those missing teeth bug her a bit.

Cracked ice is good for sweet drinks, and of course for juices or soft drinks. No special equipment is needed – simply wrap large ice cubes in a clean dish towel and whack them with something, such as a heavy serving spoon. Cracked ice is also a necessity when making blender drinks. Large lumps of ice don’t break down completely, and can put a strain on the blender.

L O L. You just can't have a normal animal, can you?

From one site:

Catnip won’t hurt a dog. If he eats the whole catnip stuffed toy mouse there could be a problem with intestinal blockage, but the herb by itself is no problem. There are a few dogs that respond to catnip much like cats do. However, many more (but not all) dogs respond to anise the way most cats respond to catnip.

One of son's cats at his dad's used to drop her mouse toys in the toilet. I had to watch for them when I would cat-sit. Thankfully she's stopped. Now she just hides in the litter box...most of the day.

Yeah, those little glass shards would be lovely to sweep up on the exposed agragate sidewalk. Besides, the tree is too heavy.

Yupe, they're all pretty much little goofs.

I brought home popcorn chicken from Sonic this afternoon. I set them on the counter and went to the bathroom. Then decided to clean out the pool baskets first. I left the back door open. Maisy came to the back door and barked. She could smell the chicken and wanted me to get to it!
