Same thing here. Watching the news and they're showing a TXDOT camera of a freeway overpass with about 10 cars and a couple semis stuck. One guy must be talking to a friend on the phone that told him he was on the news because he started waving out his window. L O L
Hi everybody! Chilly out--I had to wear a sweatshirt on the way to work!

Have a good day. I'm just sitting here in my jammies, robe, & slippers watching people slide around on the overpasses on the news.

Yeah but we'll have to make up this day. 22 with a 15 windchill
I'm stuck at home! Dang... nothing but TV, internet, and fun stuff... it inhales sharply and creates suction.

Poor boy. Are you going to do snow stuff with the kiddies?
First, you pull over when the atmosphere is less than perfect. Your sensibilities are shaken by the slightest defect! You live your life like a canary in a coalmine, you get so dizzy even walking in a straight line! You say you want to spend your winter in Firenza, you're so afraid to catch a dose of influenza. You live your life like a canary in a coalmine, you get so dizzy even walking in a straight line! Now, if I tell you that you suffer from delusions, you pay your analyst to reach the same conclusions! You live your life like a canary in a coalmine, you get so dizzy even walking in a straight line! Canary in a coalmine! Canary in a coalmine!
Good morning. This is just ugly here. With the ice, tree limbs and electric lines coming down everywhere. Heavy snow started about an hour and a half ago. Supposed to get 4 to 8 more inches. The electric company's bringing in an extra 800 linemen from NC.

Me 'n the oldest went outside in the "snice" and romped around for about 20 minutes. It was raining a bit, so after a while his jacket got a bit too soaked and we came in. Was fun, but the youngest nearly lost his mind since he wanted to come out too. He's still shaking a sinus infection so he had to stay inside. I have an afternoon class, so I'll be going in soon...

Thankfully, you can make a kid take off his wet stuff at the door before he hops on the couch... Well, off I go to werk. Werk werk werk...

so have you lost your power yet poof?
cruzer wrote:so have you lost your power yet poof?
Nope, still have power. The snow's slowing down. It was about 31 this morning, so there was a lot of slush. Now it's 25 and dropping so that's all going to be more ice.

Got that right.

My in laws put in a gas powered generator because they didn't want a no heat situation. Once, in the 70's the electricity went out for a week. Hubby moved in with us that week. I don't think he thought it out. If the electricity goes out, we will all move in with him! The guy who refused to have any kid stuff in his house and took all the beds out of the bedrooms as the kids moved out!

I'm sure we still have snow days unused in the schedule, so we won't need to make these two up.

The bad thing about Colorado is that you never got any days off unless it was really really really bad! 8" of snow in one night wasn't bad enough.
