Looks pretty nice...though I'm waiting to get an x200t next month. Otherwise I'd get this in a heartbeat.

I <3 Woot!

Does it have multitouch, not that I'm looking to get it since I've already spent all of my Christmas money, but it would be nice if I could get it to throw windows 7 on there.

WHAT????I lost my signature, oh well.

I own this little laptop, and I really like it. Folding the screen into tablet mode to watch movies on a plane really rocks.

Dammit. I just bought a new laptop. Don't need two - just have (barely) one lap.

I have one of these. Best laptop ever!

I like the green.

I actually own this exact laptop. I bought about a year ago this month and still LOVE it. It is an amazing piece of technology and actually quite rugged for a tablet. I use it all the time for course work, though I will admit i don't use the tablet functions much. I paid just under double this evenings price and still feel I got a good deal.

Awesome choice woot - yay for my computer half the price...heh :-\

Hmmmm....what type of RAM does it take? Did I completely miss that on the spec sheet?

No - only one point at a time...not a capacitive screen like the iphone :-(

No multi-touch on this or any windows tablet.

the reviews of this Tablet on Alatest are pretty darn good.
http://alatest.com/reviews/laptop-reviews/hp-pavilion-tx2525nr/po3-64279709,30/

p.s. I think the reviews of the new woot design will be pretty good as well. very modern/chic.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

wait a minute...why does it need two IR ports? Just in case you cover one up you always want a second open?

Crud, too expensive for my blood.

It's running Vista which makes it suspect. I just went through a particular nasty thrash with my Dell running Vista where it decided to implode all over itself. After three hours of chkdsk, I lost some crucial data that I luckily had a backup for.

What's more, it's Vista 64 not 32, which means there's a lot of software that doesn't work with it. Do you really want a computer with an OS Microsoft is about ready to ditch for Windows 7?

Almost. This one has 64-bit Vista for $50 extra. Otherwise it looks to be exactly the same.

Nope- I'm typeing on that one now (and I'm VERY happy with my purchase). That one was/is the TX2513CL. They have very similar specs. The only difference that I can tell right away is that today's woot has a fingerprint scanner and it costs $50 more.

If you're in the market for a new tabby/lappy, this is great deal.

i am actually typing this with this computer. its really freakin sweet, but its on woot for about 150 less than i payed, and mine came with a 4 year warrenty (which is somewhat important--the screen breaks kinda easy). so, if you dont mind spending an extra 150 for piece of mind, then i'd skip todays woot.
peace

+1 - this just isn't right...
keep the layout - give us the old color back - NOW - or else

on a side note - I've used this thing and it's a decent size/weight + touch screen comes in handy

New layout got you down? Love it? Why not head over to World of Woot to discuss it?

Did you know shirt.woot ships internationally? Get you some!

That's too bad, I really wanna throw windows 7 onto a multi-touch tablet, I hear the new multi-touch stuff is pretty sweet in windows 7

That's a paradox. If you didn't already have it, you wouldn't know how good it is, therefore your chances of buying it would be significantly lesser, especially considering that you DID buy it and if you didnt then it must have been worse in that scenario and if you didnt buy it then, you wouldn't buy it now. l to the ol!

Oggling my goat? BEST LAPTOP EVERR

I bought the tx1320 in 2007..and this one has a few improvements over mine..

it is super portable and so functional..plus tons of fun!!

i definitely recommend this computer, but i would be hesitant about the retinker..you might be better off buying it brand new for a few hundred more..but thats your call..

just know this will be the best computer you've everrrrr owned

PS-HP Customer Support is the best ive ever worked with..and warranty's are reasonably affordable..

Arggg! I just learned to love the previous design (Bush) and now you are giving me green? (Obama?) Baggy of Camomile is redefining itself as Barry Obama's Charms?
The retinker computer (Toshiba) I bought on Woot as an intermittent problem that has made me swear off refurbs.
And your new look has given me an anxiety attack. Off to bed.

bluetooth? YES

scwewywabbit

quality posts: 6 Private Messages scwewywabbit

the description is inaccurate - the laptop actually has TWO headphone out jacks.

I absolutely love this laptop - I can do design work, sketches, concept design, etc. on it AS WELL as play Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and Civ 4 (Can't play Crysis tho... but then again not many laptops can :P)

definitely a great buy for college students.
(I got it for $850 off NewEgg.com)

My only gripe about this laptop is that it's flimsier than Calista Flockhart on a diet. I accidentally dropped it and a chunk of plastic came flying off the back. Good thing none of the internal organs got hurt.

/GOT to be careful with it
//that, or buy insurance
