Well with that attitude it will! Be confident. You're gonna whip that test up one side and down the other.

You've got to feel a little sorry for the guy that tried to commit suicide by going over Niagara Falls. I mean, there can't be very many people that couldn't manage that.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

It's not "need." She didn't need the card or flowers. But you should both be celebrating the date.

Ugh, I have to call mom every day. She just realized son isn't going to school next year.
She said nobody takes a year off if they have ambition. He'll never go back.
She also hates daughters job, because of the hours.

She likes son's girlfriends future job. She just go into pharmacy school for next year. The fact you spend all your time on the phone with insurance companies and dealing with old people at the counter , means nothing to mom.

Then she wonders why I don't like to call.

When she finds out he can't come home for christmas for 6 years, then she will gripe about that.

She also compared the 50 hours a week she worked in the dime store during the depression to a professional job that has 60 to 90 hours a week for years on end.

The fact that most of the kids take a year off and DO go back means nothing to her.

I'm not going to be mad about it. I think we both celebrated it just fine.

She loves me, and that's all that matters.

Aw, that's nice! I have been feeling less confident today, because I opened my books to study and had a sudden case of amnesia or something.

Thank you. I really really really hope so.
It's so silly. It's not a hard test at all. I mean, it's appropriately challenging, but it's not HARD. Tests just make me so stupid. Which is weird; usually I work well under pressure.

Some people are just like that. You'll do fine, just relax! I'm glad to know it is just challenging and not HARD. I've got a GRE in my future whenever I get my act together and make some decisions.

Daughter is afraid of the math part too.
Son told her she was nuts, it is the same math she took in high school.

But she would have to figure out what she was going back for first.

I never learned it, because I never thought I'd use it! Because I was a damn, damn fool.

My dad was a math professor early in his career. Went on to raise one left-brained dingbat *~creative~* daughter and another little genius math major just like himself. While I scratch my head over beginning algebra, my little sister is reading stuff with Greek letters and symbols I'll never understand. But, you know. I'm taller.

Lucky! My sister can learn anything as long as it's in a book. Me I need to see it done. She got all kinds of scholarships, she has a good job and a nice house, and she is skinny and taller!
