I can cook OK...couple of chefs in the family. MsLuddite puts on a pretty good feast on turkey day. Having about 9-10 family over.

Hey!

How are 2 (two) of my favourite misfits!

-on our own misfit planet?

Interesting... how a planet can occupy a lodge.

egh, i was going to try to catch up, but it's too far...
i have to take my computer down tonight, or rather the one i'm using while my normal one is kaput, because dad's furniture from his office is coming home tomorrow...
my parents are insisting that i go to see Pride and Prejudice tomorrow with the family and some friends... i hate Jane Austen stories... we're getting chinese beforehand, which i'll eat but is never my first choice... and we're going with a family whose daughter my mom is definitely trying to set me up with, but i'm not the slightest bit interested in and am really being turned away from by mom's constant "why don't you invite [the girl] along with you?"
uuuuuuurrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh
went to a hockey game tonight... mom told me i "probably" shouldn't have a beer... "probably" pretty much means "don't" or so i thought until i got home and she asked and seemed very pleased that i actually didn't have any... her reasoning was along the lines that people would probably be getting drunk and rowdy at the game... how my having 1 would impact that i'll never know...

yeah, and she does seem to like me... she always ends up sitting next to me somehow at movies... i didn't realize what was going on at first when i'd first moved back home and was being told i should invite her along, and thought "oh yeah, sure, she could hang out with us, it's been rude of us not to invite her before"
i mean, she's a nice girl, not unattractive, though not especially attractive either in my book, nice family, but... it ain't happenin'...

Thanks for stopping by, always plenty of room in the misfit cabin.
I wouldn't go to see P&P unless I was doing a book report on it, IMO.
won't comment too much on the lady thing...you're compatible or you're not. Sometimes it takes awhile to find that out one way or another.

Better not let it perpetuate then...could be leading...and eventually crushing...

there were people next to me having beer... a couple middle-aged ladies... 1 of them actually started cheering for the other team at some points... but no one was drunk or rowdy... sure we'd yell and cheer at the big hits and scream at the refs... but it was very orderly...

oh yeah, i'm try real hard not to lead girls... thinking someone likes you only to have it seem to not be that way (or perhaps even the opposite) is one of the worst feelings in the world and i wouldn't wish it on anybody (well, maybe a mortal enemy, but they'd better reeeeaaaaalllllllyy deserve it... and i'm not sure anyone does... or if they do, there might be real bad consequences for the rest of the world if they suffer that)
