Well, if you just bought it...and it broke while you were using it, you tell them so.

If you got it at Home Depot, Lowes or Sears...it won't be a problem.

If they make a stink about it...

You raise your voice and say, "Why do you sell inferior products that only last one day?"

Usually, that works.

Also, lay on the guilt trip, especially if it is a woman...tell her how "disappointed" you are in the store...and how you "used to enjoy shopping there."

It also helps if you are cute, pretty, handsome or the like...

If you lived closer...I would return it for you...create an instructional videotape...for all MANkind to see.

My chainsaw is a Husqvarna. Its pretty little, my brother has a lot larger engine in his, so it cuts easier. It is harder to carry though.

if it broke the first time you were using it, it is DEFECTIVE --- repeat after me - d-e-f-e-c-t-i-v-e -- and needs to go back to the store.

I got a friend who is actually quite good at this...for a man..but he is also a Scotsman...and they know how to pinch the nickel til the buffalo shites! I have never seen anyone get so much free stuff....I actually give him a really hard time about some of it! FOr ex - Tippy table at a hotel bar - his wife's margarita spills onto his lap...he gets his clothes cleaned (ok, that's fair) but also gets 2 free nights and dinner out of it! Go figure! over a spilled drink?

It is the end of the month...the worst time for us realtors. We are also the sounding board when something goes wrong like...they forget to order the utilities even though you told them upteen times before.
