just, so, so wrong. its everbody elses kids that are awful, not one's own.
I remember when I was a camp counselor, I had a group of 9yr old boys, and one daay aout a week into camp (sllepover camp), one kid came over to me and said "Joe...I ain't got no pants, kind of tilted his head up and his eyes sort of rolled a little, head cocked at me.
I was floored. I had been so proud, doing such a great job (I thought) and here this little kid was and didn't have any pants. I looked down at him and, panicked, said, well,, what happened to 'em? (picturing the other kids stealing them, or other groups coming in and taking my campers stuff away, while oblivious counselor sat somewhere contemplating his navel.
He said, "they're all dirty."
It makes me laugh even today. I had to explain that at camp, you can wear dirty pants, especially after a week.
ah, kids. I love everything about them. I am them.
Remember, they have to support us when we're old, 'cause we'll be spending our retirement money on college.
