Apparently, JetBlue doesn't serve on board meals...just drinks and snacks...

I am not sure we'd be eating anything after 8:45 anyhow.

TSA website has a list of prohibited things for carry on and for checked bags... you may want to take a look at it and double check.
Take your laptop in carryon if you can.
Don't use your own little padlocks on your checked bags unless they have the TSA magic master key thing.
Slip on/slip off shoes if you can.
Mininize jewelry (esp. "body" jewelry if applicable)...can get embarrassing.

I looked up the checked bags earlier tonight...we seem to be compliant.

We will carry the laptop, digital camera and mp3 players on board.

Shoes...easier just to take them off and throw them on the Xray belt with the laptop.
No body jewelry or tats here...but have witnessed a woman who got rather embarassed at where the metal detector wand lit up...
