I think it we're leaving at 12:01 am...
What time do you go to work?
killingtime wrote: I think it we're leaving at 12:01 am...
Hmmm...I don't think it's at a high enough latitude to be the "land of the midnight sun" effect, so you might be out of luck. But that's what it looks like.
Did you fall asleep on me?
killingtime wrote:What time do you go to work?
Work hours are similar to rugby's constraints. "Facta, non verba". Deeds, not words. To answer your question, as I make them.

I hope it isn't too rainy to disturb the sights.

Ahh...that's good...

Rarely is it a pounding rain...just this annoying, constant mix between mist and a shower. The low fog adds to the effect. The area is extraordinarily green throughout the year. Snow is rare.
I have a craving right now for clam chowder...I think Josephus or AZG mentioned seafood earlier...and now I am starving.

Is it true that they rarely have mosquitos up there?

Don't think they'll be offering any food on woot tonight (though I was proven wrong on the sushi set), so ya better check the pantry or head out to Shaw's.

Grocery stores here generally close at 12...and they don't have beer...unlike NY. Wegman's is yours?
killingtime wrote: Is it true that they rarely have mosquitos up there?
True, but on the other side of the fauna scale are the slugs...shell-less snails are all around.

Why did you have to tell me that?

A few open 24 hours. Hannaford and Price Chopper are the biggest players around these parts. Beer 'til 4.
killingtime wrote: Why did you have to tell me that?
Just a fair warning. They're just around. If you stick around the city you probably won't even see any.

I don't like worms or catepillars...I bought some plants this summer at a greenhouse...I was using my bare hands...and you can imagine the rest... *make it go away*

Can I tell you how much I hate Shaws?
kt, if not otherwise occupied, you may get to experience the thrill of a woot at 10 pm while on the left coast!

That would be, indeed, cool... I am doubtful I will be otherwise occupied.
I am tempted to buy the MP3 player, but I already have 2 bigger ones.
killingtime wrote: Can I tell you how much I hate Shaws?
You can tell me but I'll only believe it when I see the 100 ft high flames from the facade of the local store... [note that burning down hated grocery stores is not encouraged or condoned by NeoLuddite, his agents, or any component of LudditeCo.com]

Now if me or AZG had made that statement...we'd be in trouble.

You'll probably pass over this way enroute, wave if you see me. Enjoy the vacay...they end all too soon. "We are all cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out." -Ray Bradbury
