I read that it needs a fairly long initial battery charge, so your decision might be made for you. While all this waiting is killing me, watching it sit on my floor charging while I can't use it is going to be even worse!

UPDATE: 40 min later, I'm listed in FedEx! Estimated delivery today! Huzzah!

If you go to the fedex website, and choose track by reference, enter the order number as the reference, ship date of 4/30, whatever your country is, and your zip code in the box below it, it will show you where it is!

Mine is currently on its way, and in transit in Hutchins, TX, and says: Purchase order number
HG******-* IROBOT ROOMBA 530!

Using the Fed Ex tracker, it states of a Saturday estimated delivery, but doesn't show it was actually picked up. It only shows "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Does that mean I will or will not get it Saturday???

Mine was saying a saturday delivery earlier today, and I just checked it and now it is actually starting to move, but my delivery date is now the 5th, this is ridiculous. This will probably be one and only woot purchase.

I got mine yesterday (live in TX). My previous Roomba (Discovery something) came with 2 virtual walls, but this one came with just 1. I forgot what it actually said on the woot, but I guess remanufactured ones come with just 1?

edit: Does anyone know if old virtual walls work with the Roomba 530s? I suppose I can try it out and see for myself...

edit #2: I might be seeing things, but the plastic has a light purple hue to it. Always thought it was all white from the pictures (http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2804958). Guess I must be slightly colorblind. You can definitely tell in Woot's picture, though.

Got mine yesterday.
Charged overnight.

Dead. Right of the box.
Backs off the charger spins around in circles, then stops and gives me the 9 beeps of death.

Called iRobot. They said they are familiar with the issue and it will have to be replaced.

They will not send out the replacement until they get the old one back.

I see weeks of waiting in my future.

Pissed.

(iRobot tech support was very nice)

Update: While on the phone with support, she told me I would have to return the broken robot before they would send out a replacement. I just got an email from support stating that they don't want the old one back at all. They said to properly dispose of the old one and replacement would be shipped within 6 days. Looks like I got lucky!! A new robot and one for spare parts!!

Just got my iRobot delivered via FedEx from this particular woot!

Looks like I got a remanufactured iRobot Roomba 560 instead of the 530 (the 560 has the additional capability to schedule cleaning times and also includes 2 lighthouses instead of just 1 virtual wall).

I tried calling customer support today, but they do not work on Sunday. ERRRRR!!!!!!

I guess I will be calling tomorrow to see about getting mine replaced as well. Not fun at all!

Mine did the date switch from 5/2 to 5/5 too(I've seen Fedex do this before when they receive shipping info but haven't actually picked up the item yet). My Roomba has been "in transit" from Hutchins, TX since 5/1. So hopefully it will make some magical (delayed tracking entry) progress tonight and get here on time tomorrow!

Called IROBOT when I got home today. The second tech support person was very nice. They are sending me a replacement that should be here in about 7 to 10 business days.

The waiting continues. I sure hope the next one doesn't have the 9 beeps of death.

Mine came today, it's the 530, no upgrade for me! Now to charge it and see if it works.

Also 2 yr warranty purchased from SquareTrade, $29.99. The coupon code MOTHER (use by 6pm today) knocked it down to $19.99.
