15 day weekend? Isn't that more of a vacation than a weekend?

I do, however, see home o'clock. Which I think is right now. Laters, PWAers!

Proofing on the deck again tonight. That is so nice. Bought a two-seat glider at Garden Ridge this afternoon. I love rockers and gliders.

Nice. We always had rockers when I was growing up.

Husband told me today he doesn't like them. So? There's six other chairs on the deck to sit on. There was a one-person glider that was on sale, which is what I went over there for, but it looked like an electric chair. Couldn't do it.

Probably a good idea to get the two person chair then. Don't want to give anyone any ideas by sitting in a faux electric chair!

Does anyone know anyone who's had kyphoplasty? They're recommending it for my m-i-l and I've never heard of it.

She evidently has an L1 compression fracture. The alternative to the kyphoplasty appears to be pain medicine and a back brace. She wouldn't wear the back brace, I'm sure. My mother wouldn't either, although she pretended to all and sundry (including herself) that she did. And the pain meds worry me, will she be able to function on her own. This isn't going to be fun.

no - this definitely isn't going to be fun. I wonder how common the procedure is? If it is common and has good results with a better recovery time, then maybe that is a good option. I'm clueless though. anything back related is scary to me.

From what I'm finding on Google, it's a one hour procedure and she can go home that day or the next. Of course, she's 89...

She hasn't heard what it is yet. She's not going to want it. Basically, she wants to be 60 again and doesn't understand why there's not a magic pill to make her better.
