I think I'd use the beef garlic granules and I'd start them in the microwave for a few minutes. Mainly because we grill with charcoal and very few of the things we grill take anywhere near an hour.

And I'd use the big Vidalias.

Report on day:

Took Rusty to be groomed. I had a coupon from the vet. Won't be doing it again.
He is easy to brush out. The only thing they did better was clean his ears.

Got ready for and went to the town fireworks!
Forgot my camera. Duh!
Just go find the thread from last year. Fireworks are basically the same every year.

Poor doggie was never left that long at night. We got out of the parking lot fast. Knew exactly where the car was and actually packed up as soon as the music said this is the last song!

Town went out of its way to make getting out of there the most convoluted way possible. Damn good thing we were fast getting out, or we would still be on the road!

Only odd thing for the day, was I was all ready to eat the leftovers from yesterday for lunch. Only problem was....I must have forgotten them on the table at the restaurant. Very sad.

I do that all the time, although I usually remember it on the way home. Really annoying.

And was Rusty okay when you got home?

I hate it when I leave my leftovers. it makes me sad too. Sometimes if I have them at lunch, I remember to take them back to work, but leave them at work and they get thrown away.

Could Rusty hear the fireworks from your house? Banita used to run around the yard barking at the sky when she could hear them anywhere near my house...

No, way to far away.

The first time we went after son could walk, he took off at a full run as soon as the first one went off!
I had to chase him and tackle him!

They were waiting for the landlord agent to come and check out the house for the security deposit.
I told him NOT to drive home on Monday. He didn't listen to me Thanksgiving and spent 7 hours in the car. Not bad for him, but the cat hated it!

So.....tomorrow or Tuesday?

Pool once it opens.
Australia 4 weeks late july early aug I think.
Pool till it closes.

The hospital that told him it wasn't hiring is having a job fair. He might still be able to get that. The Australia thing screws that up. It is expensive and it is paid for now. He really can't start a real job until Sept.

Or the year in the basement with the rest of the unemployed!

Heh. Reminds me of a time at a hibachi restaurant a few Christmas' ago. Little girl about 4 in her red velvet dress didn't want to have anything to do with eating there. She'd been once before and didn't like the big fire. As soon as the table next to them did the big flame, she was down and out the restaurant. They ended up eating a regular non-hibachi table.

Morning all. Grackle birds were having it out in the backyard this a.m. Woke me up.

I've been watching my Alias Smith & Jones DVDs (Pete Duel & Ben Murphy). What fun! I loved that show then and still do now.

I love this weekend. Indycars, using the grill on consecutive days, an excuse to drink good beer, and to use the wireless on the patio.

Hope you're doing something fun too!

Just went to Stein Mart (read 50 pages, do something else, read 50 pages, do something else). Put my foot through a sheet the other night. Found nice ones on sale for my side of the bed. Unfortunately, not the right time of the year for flannel sheets for husband. He may have to freeze in regular sheets for a couple months.

My bad, I didn't connect "this" as being "Woot."

And I don't know how I put my foot through the sheet, it just kind of happened. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

Good story, I might have to borrow that!

Hello everyone. Big party tonight, and all of a sudden too much happening tomorrow. . . that's how it works huh? Oh well, eaten some lunch then I'm gonna go get two more baby shower gift (there are 8 babies expected this summer!) Then picking up one guest with a bummed out clutch. It's going to be a beautiful afternoon, definitely will have to take the kids out and BBQ more later.
