uggh, I do not miss petty high school administrative politics!

Morning all, working from home, state FFA competition has overrun my building and is using my office as a grading center. Need to go set up my other computer. I don't think I can be productive on the mac, I spend too much time goofing off and not enough time programming. . . . although, the living room is cooler than the office.

So, to a cat or dog, the underside of the bed is better protection than their person?

Rusty had to eat breakfast. He usually doesn't until we come back from the dog run....sometimes as late as 4 pm.

Damnit.
Took the rats to the vet and one is dying.
She gave me meds to buy him time, but also said if he didn't improve to bring him in to be put down.

This was just a minute or so after she checked their age and said I had another 1 1/2 years to go.

He isn't my favorite. I never bonded with him, but here I am crying.

Oh, plus hubby said to call daughter because she is having a bad time at work.
Can you actually live your life having a month long breakdown every year?

Good thing I got my tranqulizers straightened out yesterday. They will be at the durgstore at 2pm.

Yes, you can live your life having breakdowns every year, but it really isn't a good way to live.

Hi folks,

Dname, really sorry about your rat. Sad when a pet gets sick.

Supposed to rain/thunder today. Supposed to play softball tonight. Not sure if I want to test my recently un-pneumonia'd refurbed lungs in that sort of conditions, so I might pass.

One hour to my afternoon class. I gotta get a move on if I'm to get it ready. So here I am!

So sorry, D'name.

Is it really a breakdown if it never stops?

Now he is climbing around and acting fine.
See, I didn't take them to the vet enough
Now I will be bringing someone to the vet once a week!
I let it slide and he is dying.
But since there is no cure, I guess it wouldn't have mattered.
Some people keep the rats on antibiotics their whole life. I wonder if that works.

Exactly, you could have taken him weekly and he still could have gotten sick and definitely gotten old.

Son got his textbooks checked in! YAY! He said the AP wasn't there and the guy that was there was sane.

Office mate said her son had problems with the AP yesterday about textbook check-in as well.

I don't know. Maybe you should come out here to get rats, they seem to live longer. The daycare just put down one that was 10 years old or so (The teacher told me, but I don't remember I just remember being surprised after what you told me about them living around 2 years) . . . .

At least the rat is happy! That's what's important.

I had a professor that was working on it. . . not sure how far he has gotten. Not sure he was all there either, he was a strange one. Probably would be dead if his wife wasn't a veterinarian and kept his de-wormer shots current.

I'd imagine the rat would build a major tolerance to the antibiotic.
