Gotta figure with 9 family units at this, most of whom heard at least one part firsthand, there will be a few dozen versions by now!

I'm off on a quest for appliances. Or at least pricing specific models. Still gotta figure out where the money is coming from.

Painter dude will come by on Thursday to price it out.

I'm going to have to disassemble my office. I'm so not looking forward to that.

If you haven't told anyone that you're disabled, then you aren't considered disabled by the ADA. But, it may be that if you told human resources that it would help with your vision problem if you had a bigger monitor, then you probably have effectively called yourself disabled. In that case, I think they have to treat you as if you are officially covered by the ADA.

If you are, then they are required to make an attempt to accommodate your disability. If they can make it so that you can work and do your job, then they are obliged to do so. I'm pretty sure.Probably if the 30 inch monitor doesn't make it so that you're comfortable reading the screen, then they would be obliged to get a bigger one.
It may be that someone decided to order the smaller monitor on the off chance that you'd reject it as not doing the job. Then, someone else would get the 30 inch monitor when your bigger one arrived.

it's gotta be a condition covered by the ADA anyway, i believe.

JUST SO YA'LL KNOW: Narcolepsy is not on that list.

No. The computer desk is a corner desk so it's in the way of 2 walls. I've got 3 sets of wood file/shelves sets (tall) on another wall. Ugh.

Appliances look like they'll run about $3700 installed. Gonna see if paint dude (he's a general contractor) can get contractor pricing on them before buying though.

Why did you decide on installing new appliances instead of offering money for them?

Because offering money hasn't worked either. Had that up for about 2 weeks now.

I'd still take the money option over you putting them in. The people looking at your house must be weird. Maybe that's the problem.
