one common complaint about these is the earbud. i haven't tried the new jawbone earbud (or seen it), but i did follow many recommendations to use some jabra gels. i had some kicking around ($1 from jabra for 4 i think) and put on and it made all the difference in the world! not only did it not hurt my ear (my ears are small), but I could actually hear so much clearer, and it kept it on my cheek bone better, resulting is a much higher quality call.

so, to summarize, if you don't have big ear openings, and you don't change the ear bud, you'll probably be VERY disappointed. With that said, I am EXTREMELY happy with this headset and an earbud that fits.

I have a Jawbone 1, be warned. I lost one of the 4 earbuds(4 different styles). I have to order a new 4-packs, the cheapest being $30. I also have problems with the (proprietary) charger.

I have one. Low volume and it has to touch your face to work properly. Maybe I have a funny face but I could not get it to work right and stay put. Yet another bluetooth headset in the "almost" bin.

I had the Jawbone 1 and hated it, WORST piece of apcray ever. I then called them and let them know that it was not holdiing a charge anymore, and they had me mail it back, and replaced it with this one, the Jawbone 2. HUGE difference. This one is TONS better. Some people have have problems with it, and I bet it's becuase they're idiots and don't know how to use it! You must have it touching your face/cheek bone as in the directions. Also, holds a charge and lasts much longer than the Jawbone 1.

Err... no. It was a new Jawbone (check the sellout discussion for that verification). I bought one too. I got mine to fit well in my ear, rests against my jaw nicely. A vast improvement over the 8 buck 2fer I wooted a while back. The noise cancel seems to be good and I am happy. Its only been 2 days tho, so we will see.

Ive owned one of these for about 6 months. It's by far the best bluetooth headset out there. I drive a loud Deisel and smoke so my window is always down. I am also deaf in my right ear so my headset it always facing the window. The jawbone is the only earpeice that allows me to speak and hear clearly. I have tried about 5 others from cheap to crazy expensive and none of them could hold a candle to this one. I paid around 130.00 for mine and it was worth every penny. This is a smoking deal.

My experience is better volume performance, shorter battery life and the ear clips are worthless - much worse than on the original model in terms of fit. They began offering a package of foam ear buds at no charge since the clips flat out failed. The ear buds work fairly well but now you have to pay $9.99 + shipping rather than the just the $2.99 shipping previously. And, trust me, you will have to order these.

I had a Jabra that paired with both my work (BB) and personal (iPhone) at the same time. Meaning if one phone rang, I could answer it then after I hung up if my other phone range I could answer that one. This is still somewhat rare amount BT headsets.

I lost the Jabra (it was a tinny thing). I would have also like better noise suppression. So if the Jawbone would work with both my phones without have to re-pair of switch something, I'd give it a shot.

I've been putting off getting one of these for a while, mostly because of the d.bags that walk around with these things strapped to their heads 24/7 (I've seen 2, count it, 2 people that have their awesome-tastic bluetooth headset on in their driver's license picture) but also because of the price.

I know truck drivers who have these and you can't even tell they're riding high in that 18 wheeler when they're talking to you.

Dark Zrobe had the right idea of going to CNET.com and checking the review for it.

Although I do trust CNET reviews, the customer reviews don't speak as highly on average.

I've got one and I love it. I had fit problems with the earbuds that come with it because it would not stay firm against my cheek but Jawbone has a new version of them on their website for just the cost of shipping and they worked like a charm for me.

I can highly recommend this headset, but you do have to play with getting it in the right orientation for optimal performance. I also recommend you spring for the "JAWBONE NEW FIT EARBUD 3-PACK" available on http://us.jawbone.com/index.aspx. Makes for a much more comfortable fit.

I've been using one of these for the past 2 or 3 months, and personally, I love it. At first it seemed awkward, but as soon as I figured out the right combination of ear loop / ear piece, it fit perfectly.

I've used several headsets and had the Jawbone 1 previously, and this one is far more comfortable in my opinion. I no longer feel that I have something clamped to my ear. As far as talk time, I haven't noticed much difference. I regularly have to make 7-8 hour drives and it has yet to die on me unreasonably early. I'd recommend it, all things considered.

My first Woot purchase! Been trolling around looking at a few items a week. Getting the new iPhone coming out this month and figured I'd need a bluetooth headset with it.

I own this item. The Jawbone 2 is the best bluetooth headset that I have used. It is small, comfortable, and provides different interchangeable ear hooks to provide the right size to fit on your year. Battery life is great. I recently lost mine about a month ago and didn't want to fork over the full amount to get another JB2. I picked 2 of these up to, one for me, one for a friend. You won't regret this purchase. This is an excellent price for the best bluetooth headset on the market.

I have owned three Jawbone ear pieces. Two of Jawbone 1, very heavy, but the best metal wire wrap around earloops. I never had problems with people complaining they could not hearing me.

One, of Jawbone 2. This model is very light weight, but the earloops are plastic and cannot conform to the shape of my ear. Everyone compained they could not hear me, Even the Jawbone support person could not understand what I was saying. Tried their adapter figue-8 earbuds. Finally fixed it by removing its plastic earloop and switching it with the metal wire earloop from Jawbone 1. Tweaked the earloop with pliers forcing the noise cancellation piece against my cheek for the first time. Now it works perfecty. I can even talk as I'm hanging upside down, on my jobsite with no probem.

$44.99 is a great price...unless yu want to spend $129.00 for the newest Jawbone(3)Prime with all its super cool technlogy updates.

Best I can tell the Jawbone 2 does not have multipoint. It can be paired with multiple devises, but can only use one at a time.

Evidently the new model "prime" does have multipoint. Guess one of the added features.

Ah well, guess I'll go back to a Jabra.

OK, I'm going to take a chance on one of these. It can't be any worse than any number of other misbegotten bluetooth headsets that have passed almost directly from my hand to the trash.

The price is not great but it's OK all things considered and if it "fits" it'll be great.

This Jawbone 2 will not pair with 2 at same time. Jawbone (3) Prime will pair with 5 different phones

Honestly I have this one (Jawbone II) and the first one(Jawbone I) and the first is much louder and clearer. I can't speak for people on the other end, but I pretty much went back to using the Jawbone I.

The Jawbone 2 doesn't have multi-point pairing (a feature that a few recent motorola headsets have).

I have one of these (girlfriend got it for me with her Best Buy employee discount when she worked there), and I really love it. I like to drive with the window down and she can hear me perfectly (the noise cancellation is great!). Call quality on my end is pretty good, not amazing, but quite usable. As for the fit, it didn't fit too well when I first got it. I had to play around with it a lot, trying different earbuds. Eventually (my ear got used to it?), the headset fit great. Because of my nasty little habit of breaking ear loops, I often use the headset without a loop; it fits perfectly.

For those of you who are a little rough with your stuff, this may not be for you. Don't plan on putting this in a bag or backpack as the ear loop will probably bend the wrong way, weakening it and eventually causing it to break. Also, don't drop this onto a hard surface as the case can and probably will crack.

As for me, I'm as careful as I can possibly be. Most of the time, my bluetooth is in my car, but on the off chance when I'm out of my car and want to readjust it, it has slipped and this can happen.

Personally, I think it's an awesome little device - as long as you're careful with it!

If this doesn't sell out by tonight, I might be in for one to replace my current (and abused) Jawbone2...

Also, my dad picked one of these up when it was on sellout the other day...

FWIW: When it arrived and we opened the shipping box, we saw that the jawbone packaging seemed to not be in NIB condition... The cardboard jawbone sleeve that's usually around the plastic case was missing, the case seemed to be a bit scuffed up, and the headset and accessories were a little dirty.

... just FYI. I'm not sure if this is an error on Woot's end or Jawbone's end...

The 510 is the best BT headset ever. My only complaint is that they only last 4 to 6 months before they stop taking a charge. FAR superior to the Jawbone which is a piece of apcray.

I believe the one you purchased from Sellout.woot was refurb. Today's woot offering is new. That might explain your situation.

i'm a business owner and constantly on the phone at home, office, car. My mobile phone is my primary business line. I use BT constantly for its convenience (i'll probably end up with a giant tumor). My clients' ability to hear me is priority. I have over a dozen different BT devices that i have tried.

I got the J1 just a month after if first came out. I still have it two years later. Works fantastic. Still charges great. Charges quickly. controls are easy. voice dialing with my crackberry. i can have the radio on and people still hear me great. I sometimes ask people how i sound and they don't even perceive that i'm on a BT device. I use it without the ear loops. Just the ear bud. Fits snug and comfortable in my ear. More comfortable than any thing else.

Only draw back is that i have to sometimes adjust it for optimal connection against my cheek and the internal audio could be a bit louder (maybe i'm going deaf from all the Rock 'n' Roll).

This is a great price for new. i'm tempted to get it as a back up.

Yes. That's what it says. It also said that at Newegg where they had a sale a few months ago at about this same price. Their OEM item was listed with those items. It actually came with the headset, the charger, and one loop. I bought one and can verify it did not come with all of the accessories listed. It was shipped in a padded envelope and not a box, and arrived cracked so I RMA'ed it for replacement (non-returnable). Unfortunately I made the mistake of sending it First Class with no tracking number. Newegg claimed to have never received it so I ended up out $50. Newegg never posted my review where I explained what happened without using derogatory or critical language.

I have one of these, and like it a lot. Sound is great. The only two things I don't like about it are:

- In their zeal to eliminate buttons, pressing down on different spots performs all the functions. But that means if the unit is squeezed (in your bag, pocket, etc), it can turn on. I solved this problem by taking a tube and cutting notches in it for the ear piece and the hook to slip in, so the Jawbone sits in the tube in my bag.

- You can't do Volume+ and Volume-, you have to toggle between (I think) four different volume settings. So if 3 is too loud, you have to make it louder before it gets softer.
