R+L came by today with my pallet but he didn't have a freaking lift gate! They are coming back today sometime, pictures to follow. I didn't get a look at the package but the driver thinks it's an arcade machine.

Edit: Oh and I think he quoted it at 320 lbs.

It does sound odd, but in my experience, large pallet trucks are used to delivering stuff to loading docks and often do not have a lift gate.

Ever try to unload 800+lb fully loaded rackmount set of computers?

It wasn't pretty...

That haul of pallet porportions is amazing! I gotta say, however, I hope I never get a shipment like that. Living in a very small apartment on the 6th floor, there's no way on earth I'd be able to deal with that kind of shipment.

Sansa trivia 101: Grandma learns how to fix a MP3 player! ( aka: just jiggle the handle )

Re: my initial post of our ( actually hubby’s ) Boggy Old Creature w/2 non-working Sansas in it - both arrived and would only light up the blue ring ( of death ) – computer wouldn’t acknowledge them at all when plugged in, and neither would the Sansa program. Being more than somewhat programming illiterate, I read thru all the instructions on how to try to “unbrick” them with some degree of growing horror. Luckily for me, before I tried all that, I discovered this – which I am posting here in sincere hopes that it may also benefit someone else that got the same type of nonfunctional Sansa in their Guppy – is that the only thing wrong with BOTH of them was that the “chip” inside was NOT plugged into the “circuit board”. I discovered this when I had the first one apart and it almost fell off – I clicked it ( gently ) onto it’s corresponding pins, put the player back together, and it works like a charm…….so I checked the other one, and it had exactly the same problem. Probably not what’s wrong with all of them that aren’t working – but it sure seems like it’s worth a try before delving into the realm of firmware tweaking for those whom, like me, really aren’t at all familiar with that stuff.

So – good news is that now both are working perfectly and, between the two of them, we got over 800 songs courtesy of somebody out there with REALLY GREAT taste in music! Kind of makes it like getting a whole new Boggy Old Creature you didn’t see the first time you opened the box.

And so that gives our first ever Boggy Old Creature story a new, happy ending - Thanks again, WOOT !

I took it apart and found the Battery part number, 326691 3.7v 730 mAh.

Any internet sites?

Charged using A/C adapter until full charge. Unplugged and battery indicator was about dead. Pluged into computer and read battery status and said 100%. So I been running the radio for 2.5 hours and still going.

Battery seems ok, must be firmware issue.

Still working View.... cool

Has anyone seen a Boggy Old Creature that looked this bad when it arrived? (nevermind the miserable plant in the background)

It has clearly been ripped open after it was sealed up. And the contents were scattered throughout the box like it had been rummaged through. There were four pieces of scotch tape holding the flaps down and two stickers from the USPS that say it was received in damaged condition.

At any rate, what was left the contents was... well cra ppy.

2 x Woot-off lights
8 x Wine Woot bags
17 x multi-tool torch sets
2 x Lowpro Camera Bags
2 x Nextar heart shaped picture key chains, one was opened, out of its box and the contents were scattered throughout the shipping box. The box for the open keychain was on the bottom of the box while the key chain device was found on toward the top.
2 x 3 DVD sets, Superbad, Blades of Glory, and Team America
1 x Film boat-shaped speaker system
1 x Deni possible Ice Cream Maker?? - no lid, no instructions

There was also some scattered bubblewrap in the box, it was not wrapped around or apparently protecting anything.
And there is a 3"x8"x12" piece of cardboard that appears to be the insert of a larger box that holds contents of some sort in place.

Mine went on a sight seeing tour as well, but of the midwest... none of the tracking functions have the complete map, only the most recent segment, which resemebled a cover band tour of podunk Ohio towns.

Try using something like PackageMapping. It makes the paths on the map for you. Except the site's interface is a bit ugly.

Ohh, huh. That's weird.

Anyway, I think SmartPost works by putting your package on any plane/truck that has room left over that is somewhat moving in your direction. Then it gets handed it off to the USPS when it's near your town. I dunno why your package is traveling all over the southwest, though.

BTW: Is "B" under "D" or something? I don't see it on the map.

I just received my Random scaffolding and I must say I am quite pleased. the tracking said 0.4 lbs but it was quite a bit more when I got it.

1 - working HDMI upconverting DVD with the remote missing... currently playing the night at the roxbury.
3 - 80 Gig Western Digital Hard Drives - No complaint here... I'll use em
1 - Random AC/DC adaptor... no clue what it is for
1 - tinkerbell lunch kit... my younger cousin loves it
1 - set of sandisk earbuds
1 - sandisk usb cable
1 - armband and case for a sandisk mp3 player
0 - Woot lights... I'll have to use the ones my sister got

and my cat is already in the box having the time of his life. Thanks again Woot Gods and Happy Birthday.
