Does this TV have one of these ports or does it only have HD ports?

Yes, they have built-in tuners. You can hook these to your cable system and will be able to view both low-def (480i) and high-def (720p) programming off of your cable system. Chances are you'll get most channels in low-def but your local TV stations will also be available in high-def.

You can only tell the difference with 720p and 1080p with any TV while watching a blu ray, or playing PS3. HD cable isn't 1080p yet. On a TV this small you wont see much anyway unless you were to have a 32" 1080p tv sitting next to a 32" 720p tv and you were comparing.

I have had this TV for 6 mo. and at this size you cant tell the difference in resoultion from 720p vs 1080p. Very crisp picture. Love it!

I would say that depends on the type of person you are. If the first thing you do when your TV arrives is connect it to your cable box and watch tv, then no. If the first thing you do is drag it upstairs, connect it to your computer and start browsing woot on it, then yes.

To be honest, no. You can only really tell on a set that's like 40" or larger. 720p is more than adequate at this size

cause one has a standard vga input for pc or laptop connection. the other only has vga so unless your pc or laptop has an hdmi out your outta luck. id go with 2 input myself since i dont have more than a blueray player for hd. there is also component input that the seperate red green blue connections which is also hd.

If this TV was $200 I'd probably buy it, but for this price it looks like I can get comparable deals online at other sites for "new" TVs ($359 and free shipping at Best Buy for a Dynex). $300 is not bad but I think I can get a more satisfactory deal if I shop around, which is something I may do in a couple months.

Good price because dam 32" tvs bottomed out in price a year ago. Seems like they cost $399 everywhere while 42-50" model prices continue to drop like rocks. Think I would avoid buying anything from Magnavox though. That's really just asking for trouble. Although if it lasts 90 days your probably fine for the duration.

Yes, it will. It will pick all of the digital signals in the area which at least for me is about 10-15 HD channels.

2 points I would like to make.

Mfg is an opinion. I owned a 38" CTR Magnavox for over 10 years without 1 problem. I now have a 38" LCD Magnavox i purchased here with no problems. In the bedroom is a 24" Magnavox CTR over 10 years old, no problems, and over the treadmill is a 15" Magnavox over 6 years old with no problems. I'm replacing the one CRT in the bedroom with this Woot.

Refurbished......

I am a IT manger, over 224 computers, and also teach electronics,
for a living.

An electronic component should never have a problem, as it has no moving parts; you are just changing proprieties of electrons. Problems occur because of a defect in the manufacturing process. Years ago when you ordered a computer, they would run it for 72 hours. It was called a "Burn in" to find problems. Usually solidstate components either have problems right away, or last a LONG time. Now mfg's just send them out, and you are the Quality Control.

I personally like refurbished, it's like having a long run quality control test.

A great point about burn-in. Used to be, burn-in was advertised as a QC in computer ads (back when Computer Shopper mag was phonebook sized). I don't see it so much anymore. When I track certain computer order status, there may or may not be something about a QC/burn-in but it's usually "building" or 3 days, and then next thing I see is "shipped" with some blurb about QC in-between. That tells me whatever QC may be perfunctory, if really done at all.

No 1080p, but some channels broadcast at 1080i. A 1080p set takes that, works its circuitry magic, and displays it as 1080p, as all HDTV sets display at their native resolution regardless of the input. Depending on the quality of the software/hardware in the set, and the signal quality itself, a 1080i broadcast can look "better" than a 720p broadcast on a natively 1080p set, although much of it is subjective. But I do agree that on a screen of this size, any argument about 720p/1080p is completely useless. As I have always said, if you're counting pixels, you are not watching TV.

you are probably young, 25 or under with 20/10 vision (so I don't like you)and consider people that are not so young ( 45 days from 52) and rely on glasses as blind. So yes, I am blind under those scenarios and I do not like you. Well, I really do not know you, but please do not be so mean.

W00T is for flying screaming monkeys, USB missile launchers and other miscellaneous useless electronic stuff...NOT LCD TVs. It's just not worth the risk.

Yes wootmerharder!(love the name btw)
While i've never had to return any Woot! items i've purchased...i'm gathering that it's difficult to get things repaired or returned. ??
This was the deal breaker for me. I JUST went to the Costco website & purchased a brand new 32" LCD DVD combo for $370 after taxes & shipping(which was FREE). They do extend the warranty 2 years after mfg. warranty expires. AND they have phenominal customer service! It's worth the few extra bucks.
I always love to support woot! but this time I had to go elsewhere :~(
