Anyone else noticing that these Are Not True 5.1 Speakers?

Glad I read the description before clicking the "Want one" button.

They take a stero signal and spread it accross 5.1 speakers. No support for Dolby Digital, Prologic, Prologic II, etc. :(

wow nice woot only i already have 5.1 surrond sound but sometimes I wish they came with a remote.

to bad i don't need super speakers for my laptop. I have to say that the podcasts are pretty darn funny.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

It's not true 5.1. It's just 5 speakers + 1 subwoofer that takes a stereo input and upmixes it. Whatever. I'm passing for tonight.

This is primarily for gaming consoles...I hope some poor souls don't buy it thinking it will sound good with their computer games.

W00T!! FINALLY got in on a speaker deal in time. Been wanting to get a "good but crappy" speaker set for my pc for a long time to replace my 9 year old!?! stereo speakers. Don't need much to make me happy, and this makes me ecstatic :)

Great woot... now if only I can manage to get in on a Beverage of Choice or mystery speakers some day..

I have been looking for some speakers to use out in the garage with my Sirius sat tuner for a while and these will be perfect for it. Dont need real 5.1 for that...
