I bought the upright refurb either late last year or early this year (can't remember) from Woot. We love it and it works great. I had reservations about buying a refurb but for the price we are very pleased.

My University has a ton of these vacumes, they are amazing, probably the best vacume on the market, its a crazy price, but they are really good

Piece of carp!!! I had it and got rid of it. The beater bar for the floor attachment never worked right.

As with all Dyson vacuums, stay away. Cheap quality materials. Very poor design. Too many areas where gaskets are supposed to seal cheap plastic parts. Big waste of money. Dyson go home!

so far this looks like a killer deal....thinking of getting one...

Can anyone compare and contrast this with other top quality canister vacuum cleaners? e.g. How does this compare to Rainbow? Is this the best vacuum for hardwood floors with occasional rugs?

I have an upright Dyson but it doesn't do stairs well, so I needed something like this to use on my staircase. I bought one.

I know what some wifes will be getting!

It is a good deal...but I think we will be here for a while with this product.

What he means by that is, "these vacuums are awesome. Everybody should buy three!"

not a bad price for a dyson. unfortunately, dysons are terrible if you live anywhere outside of canada. They break down frequently, and parts to repair them arent sold in the US. You have to ship it to Canada to fix it. sure theyll pay for it if it loses suction, but the cost of shipping is on you. This belongs in a Band of Clowns, and would be the first thing you give away. Next!
