that's why i asked about the brittleness...it seems like the higher quality toffee isn't as horrifically crackly most of the time.

Card club tonight. I wrapped my white elephant gift in early November, and for the life of me I can't remember what it is. Later.

Yes, it was good. I was just about to message him about getting me one when he walked in with it.

Unfortunately, now I'm in that happy lethargic mode from having consumed chocolate and ice cream-like product with lots of sugar.

Sounds like an excellent white elephant gift then. You can laugh as much as everyone else when it is opened. Have fun!

I haven't done a lot of deal hunting in a while. . . . maybe someday. Who knows I might have to go over there to watch for diaper deals or something. I used to check slickdeals, and haven't even really been keeping up with that anymore.

If they do that the ebw will empty out. Besides they generally want new people to be able to ask product questions, so I doubt they will do too much.

Better audience here.

I'm just sayin' that while they could limit outside of the product thread chatter, there really is no point to that, so if they did limit chatter it would include the product thread which would be disadventagous for new would-be-wooters.

I don't agree that they would, but they could.

If EBW was limited to chat between, say, 8 am - 5 pm Central time. a lot of folks would be chatting a lot less.

Has anyone else been watching The Sing-Off on CBS?

Hey everybody! We finally got to the beach. The roads were plowed enough that we had no trouble getting here. I just got a note from a guy I used to work with and he wrote the grant that got the first broadband stimulus funding. He got $33 mil! I just wrote him back and said I hoped it wasn't on a reimbursement basis!

Glad you made it. I was wondering if you were going to give up on making it to the beach.

The ISP Orc used to work for has been getting lots of grants for expanding broadband into rural communities around here.

Home now, kids want to be in the reading/writing corner so just me and the laptop for bit.

I think they are going to build a fiber backbone from North Georgia to Atlanta. It will serve unserved areas of N. GA and provide redundancy for existing fiber.
