My bag left Earth City, Mo two nights ago at 12:44am. It is headed for O'Fallon, IL. Google says that from door to door it is 34.8 miles and should take 11 hours and 32 minutes if you walk. Driving makes it a trip of 38.1 miles but it should only take 43 minutes.

As of this posting FedEx is averaging 1.21 Miles Per Hour.

I could have walked to the distribution center and back with time to sleep and eat.

I get the rest of my Boggy Old Creature tomorrow! First box was only 1.8 pounds (do not think it actually weighted that much), and this one is 3.7 pounds. I am glad that woot! stepped up and has been shipping the missing items to the people who did not get 3 items (at least the people who emailed about it).

Thanks woot!

My replacement box is scheduled to be delivered today! At 4.5 pounds, it's 3.5 pounds bigger than the first one. I can't wait!

Emailed woot 2 days ago about my replacement, still no word, hopefully they got my email. Either fed ex or usps lost my package, this stinks.

I sent an e-mail to customer service asking if there was any recourse for waxy woot (I had the vast majority of my items coated in the ol' Victory Wax as some others did). I stressed that it was fine either way. Two days later I received an e-mail stating that a new Boggy Old Creature was on the way!!!

Fast forward to a few minutes ago... new Boggy Old Creature just arrived on my doorstop! Pictures will follow, but we're really happy with our 2nd haul...

1 very nice Thermos Brown Altitude 48 Can Cooler Bag (appears new - $20 during the Dec woot-off)
1 Excalibur Metal BBQ Grilling Basket (appears new - $3 during the Nov woot-off)
1 Dorcy 50 Lumen 12Volt Rechargeable Light with Tail Cap Charger (new in package - $5 during the Nov woot-off)
1 EcoTrends Mini Tripod (new in package - $0.50 during the Nov woot-off)
1 mysterious R+L Carriers post-it note with 'AC10739A' written on it (presumably worth nothing)
and 36x bags of (now popped by the kiddos) Texas Air (priceless)

Considering that they didn't have to give us a second Boggy Old Creature (and I was perfectly content if they didn't), it is a very nice surprise! All very usable items for us!

Thanks, Woot!

I have to append my previous post. I finally got a cable for my 80 gb zune from my Boggy Old Creature. There is apparently something wrong with the hard drive and it will only accept 2.18 gig of music before refusing to accept anymore. Reformatting the device did not help. I hope Santa's Boggy Old Creature has a new HD for it or it will be true scaffolding since the HDs are over $100 for a replacement.

I got my first ever Box of scaffolding right on Festivus. I hadn't had the good sense to check the weight on the tracking, so I was taken aback by the nearly 30 lb. box left on the doorstep by the exhausted mailman.

No photos at the moment (I've been working through most of the holidays since I'm generally unemployed--which is why this baby of the cosmos was extra-appreciated), but here's the list.

3 x camera bags
1 x sickly Memorex BluRay player...needed some taping back together and has the worst reviews ever, but it works for now and that's more BluRay than I had before. And it plays DivX and has USB input!
1 x refurbed Sony DVD recorder...had the second worst reviews ever, but again, it's alive and replaces an early woot that passed away this summer
1 x shiny Philips bluetooth, CD, radio, alarm clock device that has a really nice sound and more functions that I can get to yet

After about 4 years of wooting, this was my first winning shot at a baby of the cosmos, and it rocks! Such a surprise to get such a big box full of cool random scaffolding!

Thank you, Woot!
And Happy New Year, my peers!

Da Verm

Does anyone's Philips Streamium music thing actually work? When I plug mine in the LCD and the power button light up on the music center piece but that's it. The smaller component seems OK. Any ideas?

Finally got my bag, as it was waiting at my apartment while I was home for the holidays. ^___^

SO. The contents:

1 Star Trek Spock vinyl action figure (gotta have one, right?)

1 Camera Case

2 80GB WD Hard Drives. Not tested yet.

1 Pink Panther 5-disc DVD Box Set. (YAY!)

And:

1 DXG Digital Camcorder, blue. In box. With all cables, manuals, and software. Works like a charm. Need an SD card for it, though! ^_____^

Pretty good haul this time around, I was happy!

EDIT: OH! And the toaster of doom. I forgot about that. I'm reluctant to try it.

Last I heard, your parcel was placed aboard the M/V Kobayashi Maru, a Class 3 neutronic fuel carrier, due to arrive at Altair VI in approximately twenty periods.

I'm sure it'll get there, soon. It just has to take a shortcut through the Neutral Zone.

What could go wrong?

My wife swears I'm keeping Woot! in business all by myself. I think she may be onto something.

I got mine a while ago, but I'm just getting around to posting.

1 - League size NFL football, needed a little air
2 - bobbleheads, kirk and spock
1 - decent camera bag
1 - 40G HD - not checked yet.
1 - star wars framed film cell of darth vader
1 - National Geographic Men's Divermaster Depth Gauge Temperature Watch with a 380.00 price tag on it. I wasn't sure if it worked or not, so I took it to the jeweler and all it needed was a new battery! Still deciding what to do with it.

So all in all, a good haul.

4x Star Trek Quogs Vinyl Figure (2 Spock, 2 Captain Kirk. All factory sealed)
1x NFL Talking Proform Football (Factory sealed)
6x Alpha Forces - Flying Aces Models (Looks to be one of each model. All factory sealed)

If anyone has any interest in trading for any of this stuff send me a PM because I don't plan on keeping most of it.

Same here. USPS said it was on the manifest from FedEx on December 23 but wasn't dropped off, and FedEx is "looking into it" and is supposed to call me when back they have news.

33 lbs.! My lost-in-space randomness was just over 2 lbs. I would be in deep mourning if I were you, no doubt a pallet-load of gaming systems and flat-screen TVs (BTW, my replacement 4 lbs. is scheduled to arrive today...).

I know you're all (hello? hello? anybody there?) out there breathlessly waiting to find out what arrived today in my replacement (original lost in transit between LA and Seattle) Balanus (o) cariosus...

First of all, it's raining here in Seattle. The box sat in the soggy downpour for a good four hours, thereby ensuring that contents would be thoroughly moistened. I guess I shouldn't complain, since FedEx DID deliver where SmartPost utterly failed me. And fortunately, everything these days is overpackaged and sealed up tighter than a preacher's daughter...oops...you get the idea...

Okay. Contents:

2 Spock vinyl figures (anybody have a spare Kirk?)

1 Fact or scaffolding Music edition 2010 desktop calendar

1 Disney mix*max video MP3 player, includes High School Musical full-length feature and gel carrying case!

1 ultra-rare, highly collectible GREEN BUCKET (gentlemen, start your bidding...)

Okay, so it wasn't a 33-lb. pallet-load. But not bad, Woot!

Till next time.

Ok, so this is really late and no one will probably ever see this post, but this current Woot-off reminded me that I never posted what I got in my baby of the cosmos. And I really wanted to post it too, because it was the best baby of the cosmos I've ever gotten. It was the best thing under my christmas tree, sorry honey I love what you got me but a baby of the cosmos trumps all. I actually put it under the tree too and waited til Christmas morning to open it (it got here on the 21st). It was an agonizing wait

So here is what I got
- Polaroid i1035 digital camera, refurbed and working fine
- A 3mp kids camera deal (can't remember the name now). Gave it to my niece at an after Christmas party and she loves it
- 2 Star Trek figures, 1 Kirk and 1 Spock. Gave Kirk to my sister at the same after Christmas party. Spock is now on my desk at work with all the other toys I've gotten in bags of scaffolding
- 1 remote car starter
- 1 SanDisk 1GB clip player, refurb and working fine. I've always hoped for an MP3 player in a baby of the cosmos, other stuff would be cool, but an MP3 player is the only thing I've ever really wanted to get. Funny thing is I'd given up on getting one from a baby of the cosmos and bought 2 1GB clips from this same Woot-off for me and my wife. I think some how Woot! knew I wanted one beyond all else, and saw that I'd just bought two and thought this would be hilarious, and it was

Thanks Woot! for making all my Christmas wishes come true! And sorry it took me a month to thank you.

Hi Wooters, and sorry for the late reply, and I hope someone sees this! This woot-off reminded me that I never posted what I got!

-- It was roomba!!!! ---

The only problem is that once it was charged, it immediately started doing the infamous roomba "circle dance" -- gah!

Hopefully I will be able to make my little roomba well again.
