News flash - kids "in need" are actually in need ALL YEAR, not just at Christmas time.

They'd make pretty good furniture pads if you're moving.

Small ground cloth under part of a tent if you're camping. (Even a real sleeping bag on the ground can get pretty darned nippy. Open one of these and put it under the floor of the tent where your sleeping bag will go.)

Packing material for fragile gifts.

Some sort of really terrifying Hallowe'en costume...

Who else has ideas?

Dog bed--my dog would much rather sleep on a sleeping bag (left on the floor by kids staying overnight) than his bed.

Think "Cheap Dog Beds". By three. Let the young dog shred two. Use shreds to stuff 3rd bag. Sew shut and give nice soft stuffed bag to well mannered older dog.

For those of you over 4'9", buy two or three and zip them together. Sleep sideways.

Actually, I was just going to say the opposite. Pokemon has not held up at all. Which explains the crawling sales.

I don't even know any kids that are into Pokemon anymore. They are usually thirtysomething-year-old guys. :P

That's so funny--when my now nine-year old dog was one, I bought him a nice dog pillow which he promptly shredded.

I'm guessing the guys at woot want time for the servers to cool down, to grab dinner, maybe play a game of cards. Hence the 2 slow moving items at the same time.

Dang, these sleeping bags are the equivalent of making the woot-off climb Mt. Everest when it's all covered in molasses.

Staff must have scheduled this wootoff in conflict with a holiday get-together.

This was the perfect item to offer to put the wootoff on ice for an extended period of time.

Or, they wouldn't be too bad to stick in the trunk as emergency warmth. Who cares if they get all tatty? You'll appreciate them when you're stuck in the snow.
