I appreciate the saga. It was entertaining indeed.

The 'new' driver on the ATI site (which you can only get to if you say you have a Theater HD 750) actually has the same driver that the 9.2 drivers that were linked before (6.14.10.394) I think the only new thing is the application, which I may attempt to try since WMC has now 'forgotten' my Extended Basic channels, and I'd have to reprogram them all manually.

As for the dongle, I never got the shipping email, but they showed up last week. Have yet to try them, but awesome they showed up!

Still did not arive. I guess it is not Woots fault, not Fed Ex's fault, and now, the blame must be passed to the US Post Office for the delay.

I assume, it shall show up today - Although we all have been saying that for months.

Oh wise Woot owl ... How many licks DOES it take to get to the center? The world may never know.

Perhaps you have not read the last 150 messages. Our Dongles are becoming the subject of a congressional scandal - a.k.a. Donglegate.

Mr. Woot, when did you learn about the dongle and what did you do once you learned about it?

Dongle, what Dongle? Nobody ever got a dongle; nor did we ever promise to send anyone a dongle. I challenge you to show us a single dongle with a Woot fingerprint on it.

I submit congressional exhibit 1, "The" Dongle

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Thaaaaaaaaaat Dongle. We gave them all to Fed Ex, its all their fault. Blame Fed Ex ........ Woot Off!!!!! Quick, buy more stuff from us, you might get a Bag of Carp with a dongle in it!

I got my dongle today by Fedex, sunday I emailed them and monday Woot emailed back and they said it was being ordered and today was wednesday and Fedex delivered it.

Thankyou Woot!!!! I've been dongleized!

Nope.... Dongle still did not arrive. Maybe when I get home tonight, the Dongle that was ordered months ago and traveled through more states then most people visit in their lives will find its way to my door.

Yea, and I still believe in the tooth fairy and Santa. One more kick Charlie Brown ...

OK, so it still has not been delivered .... hello Woot, at any point does anyone think a professional organization would mail out another $3 DONGLE rather then continuing to wait and see how frustrated a customer can get?

The initial purchase was made on December 12, 2010. It is now 84 days since the initial screw up and while your tracking number shows the item delivered, it is NOT delivered to my home. Only to another carrier to delay things. So, how about some CUSTOMER SERVICE and someone thinking outside the box and doing something (hint hint, you drop another dongle in an overnight Fed Ex envelope)

WHAT, like I said in my last post, we were sending you out another. It seems we've been having problems sending out replacement tracking, so I'll PM yours.

How ironic that the guy who demanded the world be given to him because of the dongle-debacle had his lost in the mail.

He's consistent, though. Still isn't reading the responses from Woot and recognizing it's being worked on.

It's ok, people don't pay attention to me IRL either. Looks like they got it yesterday, so all is well, I hope.

I'm away from home but according to FedEx my dongle is on my doorstep.

Thanks Woot. The delivery may have taken awhile, but I need my dongle for a transfer project.

Woot's good to its word!

I never received my dongle. I did get a tracking number in an email from woot, but the last entry in the tracking system is:

Mar 1, 2010 12:00 AM, Shipment information sent to USPS

It's been 15 days since the info was sent to USPS and still no dongle! What's up, woot?

**Shipping Update**

BOON DONGLES have completely shipped via SmartPost. All tracking information will be emailed by this afternoon to members who purchased this item and requested the dongle. Thanks for your patience on these dongles, they are on the way!

I got an email way back when stating I did not need to do anything and I would get the dongles for the three cards I purchased when they were available. Was that email incorrect??? I don't have any dongles yet and have not been contacted by any woot staff concerning them.

I would suggest sending an email to service@woot.com so we can check into it for you. We can hopefully get it figured out rather quickly for you.

So, it's been some time since these cards have been sold. Many like me, were having problems with getting (at least the HD 600) to find any QAM channels. I am still out of luck, and the AMD support has been just terrible. They are quick to point the finger to someone else. I think there is a driver issue. But they first state that they will not support the Catalyst software for Windows 7. Then they pointed me to use ArcSoft Total Media, which also has a problem in that it thinks the card is in use and will not start the program. When I told them that, they state to contact ArcSoft. Wow, tell me to use other software on YOUR card, and then say it's their problem when it doesn't work! Windows Media Center just cannot find any channels, and I don't think it't identifying the card correctly either. So, what is a person to do? Anyone else (HD 600 users) have problems with QAM channels on cable?

I've had the same problems as you. For me the only program that works it Windows Media Center, and for it I had to manually identify each QAM channel. I use Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit version, HD 650 PCI tuner, and I use Comcast cable.

Could you tell me how to manually idenitify each qam channel? What's really funny, is AMD is telling me that I need to use a third party application, and when I have a problem with that application, it's that company's issue. But so far, I haven't been able to find one that works. When I question the software maker, they say it's AMD's issue. I still believe that there is a problem with the drivers and that AMD just doesn't want to support it.

Ok, I found how to do add channels, but the problem is still that somehow, the software doesn't find that the tuner is accessable. So there are absolutely no channels that can be found or added.

Hey, jdemer -- could you tell me which driver version you are using? I also got the 650 PCI and running Win 7 32-bit with Comcast, but when I manually add QAM channels and try to view them, I always get the "No TV Signal" error ...

Hi ascheng,

I apologize for the delay in getting back with you. I got the 10.2 driver from the AMD/ATI website. The driver has since been updated to version 10.3. The only program I can get my card to work with is MCE in Win7. Although you probably have, make sure your cable is connected to the digital receiver on the 650 card, analog won't do. After MCE has found your channels you'll have to identify them manually, a pain, but at least you only have to do it once....

I figured out my problem. I had the cable connected to the 'TV' input instead of the 'FM/DTV' input. Duh. But working now with channels added manually!

I just noticed that AMD has upgraded to version 10.4 (April 28, 2010). I haven't tried it but will. Glad to hear your solution was so simple....

I got a 650 PCI in my Bowl of Cereal. Anyone know where I can find a small form factor (SFF) bracket for this card?

Have you tried a comical cymbal crash to wake it appropriately?

Yeah I tried that. It's not a real big problem. I'll live with it and might be related more to driver issues than anything. I will say that the ATSC part of this tuner is pretty good. It gets the weak signals when other tuners won't even lock.

Ebay? Either that or get a low profile blank, drill a couple of holes, put a 7/16 nut and you're good.
