I didnt get my rebate yet either, but it was approved.

I like the headset, but you have to keep it close or the person listening to you wont hear you good.

WARNING!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS!!

The bluetooth headset is pretty fine in itself. It has good battery life, pretty comfy, good sound and reception.

However, it is the rebate that is the problem. I purchased 3 of these headsets on 10/26/2009 when Woot last had these. It was pretty much the same deal, with pretty much the same rebate.

I have not received ANY of my rebates yet, plus the rebate tracking website haven't updated with any new info. A lot of people are having their rebates rejected due to claims that they have not done something wrong. The people on Woot claim that this is not true. Just have a look:
http://www.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=3524419&PageIndex=12

I would advise you guys to STAY AWAY. It's more trouble than its worth.

When I checked the status at RebatesHQ.com, I get the message:
"Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing."

I will seriously think twice before buying a Woot product with a rebate again!

That doesn't seem too far out for rebates. Don't they usually tell you 8-12 weeks?

Edit: I guess I should clarify:

Make sure you use the card all at once or keep track of the exact balance, because if you forget the balance it can be next to impossible to get the full value out of the card.

This is a no-brainer...Just use the card the very next time you get gas, and stop at $20. No math, no problems, no tracking the balance, no more card...Done deal.

Also, as someone else pointed out earlier, you can usually transfer the balance of the card to your own bank account, thus eliminating the problem of trying to remember to use it.

"For this sale, you're limited to just one. Share the wealth."

You get this message from WOOT when I went to buy. Was hoping to pick up 3 of these but looks like you can only get the one. That sux 'cause the rebate actually says "Limited three (3) rebates per household or address." Too bad for us!

Bought these back in October. Received them from woot relatively quickly and submitted the rebate forms the same day. Plugged in the headset and saw it was already charged. Paired up easily and works pretty well or as well as any of the other bluetooths that I've had and is as comfortable. Battery life is pretty good and the dedicated on/off switch is nice (don't have to hold down the call/answer button as on others...which sometimes if not held down long enough, it will call the last number on certain sets)..so on the Samsung, you know the headset is actually off.

As for the rebates, got the email the end of November saying my forms were received, the rebate is valid and scheduled for final processing but as of yet, no rebates. Can't be as bad as the BlackBerry BT that I bought off another site in August...still waiting for that rebate or even an acknowledgement that they received the request.

So I guess my advice would be, if you think the item is worth the original price, buy it. If the rebate comes in, it's found money! As for this headset, I think it is worth the asking price.

Some of the fine print in the rebate form worries me. I'm not sure we have enough time to do this rebate.

The program eligibility dates are listed as October 15, 2009 -- January 15, 2010. Sure we're purchasing it before January 15, but in the fine print it says (emphasis mine):

"Claim postmarked or received after applicable dates and incomplete or illegible submissions will be returned as ineligible."

So as I understand it, the rebate must be postmarked and received by them before January 15th. Or is it assumed we get an extra 30 days from the date of purchase, even if that goes past January 15th? If so, why isn't that in the fine print? Every other rebate I've ever done makes this very clear. Also I may be misunderstanding what "claim" refers to, however later in the fine print, "claim" is clearly used to mean "rebate." With all the rebate issues everyone already has, this just has me worried.

Bought this on the previous woot; Battery Life is good, does not fit well in MY ear but could for yours, and lastly it does not work well while driving in a car that picks up a decent amount of road noise. I have had complaints from people on the other line that it picks up a lot of noise and isn't clear all the time.

The good:

on/off switch (very handy) consider many BT headsets doesnt have this.

The bad:
Plastic that hang on your ear is pretty painful if u dont wear it correctely.
but once u r use to it....or if u have a small ear. maybe it's ok.

The above average:
Sound quality is better than 95% of products in this price range (under $10 after rebate)
(Because I have like 10 bluetooth headsets so I know)
and no, you can't compare it to a $100 BT headsets.....

Button line......
it works. it's cheap...maybe stock it up for the next X'mas stuffer. ;)

The programd dates is the vaild "Purchase dates"

You have 30 days from the date of purchase to send in the rebate (so till Feb 2nd) (This is per rebate terms and conditions that I am reading from the last copy I had)

There is a LIMIT OF 3 rebates per address/name.
so if you already got this offer on last woot. make sure USE DIFFERENT NAME /ADDRESS when you fill out the rebate form.

And because some rebates requires name match the receipt name. You should also have a friend create a woot account and buy it for you to be on the safe side.(I don't see this term on the rebate form but I know some rebate requires this)

Go to http://sale.images.woot.com/Samsung-WEP470-rebate.PDF
for details of this rebate.

Here is a copy of the "Fine print"

Limit one (1) rebate payable per qualifying form. Limited one (1) rebate form per stamped envelope submitted. Offer limited to customers of on-line retailers listed only. Completed
downloaded rebate must be included with a copy of store-identified receipt. Other online retailers’ rebate forms and receipts do not qualify for this program. Each qualifying Bluetooth
headset must have downloaded rebate form completed for submission. Limited three (3) rebates per household or address. Request must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase
date. Purchase date is determined by receipt date of product(s) purchased. Claim postmarked or received after applicable dates and incomplete or illegible submissions will be returned
as ineligible. Allow 8 weeks for processing. This offer is not combinable with other Samsung Bluetooth accessories offers. Offer limited to product on hand and NO substitutions with other
products are eligible. Defective product will be replaced. Counterfeit copies of forms, receipt or UPC/Part Number Label will be rejected. Keep copies of materials submitted; originals
become Samsung property and will not be returned. Samsung reserves the right to request additional information regarding this claim. False information disqualifies this claim, making
it subject to review under U.S. Postal Regulations. Violations may be prosecuted. Only purchases made by end-user customer from a participating Samsung online reseller in the United
States and its territories are valid. Purchases by Samsung resellers or internal Samsung orders are ineligible. Offer void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. You may check
your status of your rebate at : http://rebatetrack.com/samsung. Customer Care Service Line: 888-709-7079. The Samsung Visa® prepaid card is not redeemable for cash at any ATM.
Terms and Conditions apply to the card. Subject to applicable law, a monthly maintenance fee of $3 (USD) applies, but is waived for the first six months after the card is issued. Your
card is issued by MetaBankTM pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Cards can be used at any merchants that accept Visa debit cards.
Samsung reserves the right to substitute a check of equal value in lieu of a Visa prepaid card at its discretion.

Like a lot of Wooters, I got these in a previous Woot! when they were "free" after rebate, so this is a better deal.

I got three of 'em, and use them for EVERYTHING! They link to my desktop, my netbook, my iPhone.... I haven't found anything they won't work with. I use it with my desktop with Skype a LOT, and it's great for that!

Battery life is exceptionally good, and I especially like the hard switch for turning them off; they don't inadvertently come one when I throw them in my backpack.

Sound quality is a little above average. Volume could be a little higher, and sometimes I need to consciously speak louder so the other guy can hear me. Noise cancelling isn't as good as my previous (Lost, sniff) Jawbone, but it is pretty good for the price.

If I hadn't loaded up on three last time, I would be in for three this time.

BUT! Do NOT plan on seeing that rebate any time soon. I mailed my rebates the day I got the package, and a few days later was (pleasantly!) surprised to receive an email that my rebates were received, in order, and were being processed. Plus a link to check status on their web page. True Fact: My rebate status has been "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing" since 11/25/09.

Either something has gone horribly wrong there, or they are taking their sweet ol' time. A little frustrating, but hey! The headsets are GREAT for the price!

don't trust this rebate. I got this headset from woot.com around the end of october and the rebate status shows as "invalid". I tried resending the "woot receipt" but they kept on saying that it's invalid. The price is still good for that headset, I'm really happy with it, but don't expect to receive the rebate without a struggle. No more rebates for me!

I bought this last time on Woot and really like it. I drive a Jeep Wrangler (a loud car), and 95% of the time this let's me hear everything great. And I've had no complaints about my voice quality either. Fairly comfortable too, I would definitely recommend it.

As for the rebate that comes with it, it's still in "processing" even though I bought sent in the info on 11/1/09...

Ditto, but even still - too good of a deal to pass up! Wife will be happy and so will I. She has been in the market for one of these, and at this price if she's not 100% into it - who cares! Its ALMOST LIKE FREE STUFF!!! YEYZ!!

No rebate here yet either. Also, two of my neighbors, a friend and my sister haven't gotten their rebates. We all purchased on 10/26 and were all in for three.
Sounds like a class action law suit in the making.(HA-ha)

As for the plastic ear piece being uncomfortable, us a pair of wire snippers and cut a little off, half inch increments, until it feels comfortable, but isn't falling off. Use a piece of sand paper to smooth the edge.
I took an inch off mine and my husband took an inch and a half off his.

According to the mfg website, Crackberry is not a compatible phone for this... I have a Crackberry Bold - does anyone know if it works with all Crackberrys or just some?

Dont care so much about the rebate - at $19.99 + shipping still a good price considering what I'm reading for quality on these.
