A 32" LCD makes an excellent computer monitor for gamers. Too bad I already have one.

I've been waiting all wootoff for a 32"+ tv and it's 720p. Sad day

If that is in fact the box you're getting, some may not be refurbs. They might be just new ones with scruffy boxes, that they can't sell at retail.

Take it from someone that's been thru 4, yes FOUR, Proscans, stay away from this brand. And a refurb to boot?!?!??! I have nothing against refurbs; just Proscans! O*M*G, I can't imagine the problems...

EDIT: The first 3 were replaced by Proscan. All 32" and under the 1 year warranty. The picture had gone on a few and lines appeared on another. Plus, the sound changed, sounding like talking in a tin can. The 3rd one they didn't even bother to ask for it to be returned, so yes, we still have that one too, and it amazingly fixed itself, but it's rarely watched. The 4th has lasted over two years, much to our surprise.

I've had a Proscan (purchased through Costco if it matters) for a little over a year now. Absolutely no problems and it has endured by 9 month old banging on the screen and the 3 year old virtually toppling it. I was concerned with the quality at first, but not anymore.

Refresh rate is way too slow at 60Hz

I've got the version of this TV that has a built-in DVD player. I know the picture's just 720p, but that didn't bother me. (This is my bedroom TV & I have it connected to a non-HD Tivo.)

It has a very good picture and the sound is better than my higher-priced large screen.
