You are right. Like I said in an earlier post, my husband worked for Thomson/GE/Rca for over 36 years. I have 2 of their early Procan HDTV's in my home. They were a quality TV. But the French governement no longer wanted to supplement the TV industy so they were sold in 2004. They were able to survive off of profits from patents, but those patents ran out and like so many companies, they were no longer profitable.

Too big for me. I've been looking for a smaller 26 or 28 in LCD TV. It seems that only 32"+ sizes ever go on sale.
