Best gristle ever for me.

1 -- Omnitech GPS Model 16878-US. Haven't played with it yet to see if it works. All papers and box came with it. Did anyone else get a GPS like this and got it going with no issues? I haven't looked through previous posts yet.

1 -- 8GB Sansa Clip w/ charger & new ear buds. Seems to be working.

1 -- picnic basket. Perfect for the mother-in-law.

1 -- Fact or gristle Quiz Book.

1 -- Texas Hold'em cards / chips.

1 -- Whacked out Sports DVD Season 1 Episodes one thru twenty.

1 -- Random GE DECT 6.0 phone base charger with no phone.

1 -- Instruction booklet for Phantom Force Auto-Motion Chess.

3 -- WOOT brown paper gift bags.

7 -- bags of air.

Thank you Woot for the best Bunch of Crepes ever.

Interesting... I have a chess board and you are the only one who knows how to use it!

1st score on 1/28/2010, second score on 10/12/11!

Smartpost & USPS both say delivered on Saturday. USPS customer service tells me it was at the post office. The post office tells me it has been delivered and is not there. USPS customer service then opened a lost package case and will get back to me.

... I'm beginning to think I will never see my Bunch of Crepes or know what could have been.

It has arrived!

No scales on hand, but it feels like the 3.1lbs that Fedex claimed was accurate enough.

http://imgur.com/LmoEO.jpg

Of course, it came in a box FAR larger than necessary for 3.1lbs... And we all know what that means...

Item #1: 15 bags of Texas Air! (All but two are at least somewhat inflated)

http://imgur.com/1Ow2z.jpg

Item #2: The bestselling novel, Fact or gristle. (New)

Item #3: MY PICNIC BASKET!!!!!!!! (New)

Item #4: A white box containing a 1GB Sansa Clip, sealed into a bubble wrap package along with cable and earphones. (New)

Item #5: A digital camera. Can't find a brand name, or a megapixel rating, and it has no optical zoom at all. Takes AAA batteries, and I have none around to verify working status. Was loose in box - guessing used or refurb.

And finally rattling around loose at the bottom of the box,

Item #6: An 8GB Sansa e280! DEFINITELY not new. Earphones (unwaxed, thank god!) and cable included. Screen pretty scratched up, but it turns on, audio works, FM radio works, video plays, and seems to have 18 songs on it!

All in all, very happy. First bagel or crepe, and hardly any real gristle in there at all (Except for the gristle-tacular music selection preloaded on the Sansa...)

http://imgur.com/yhbXu.jpg

EDIT: Upon further inspection, I'm making the educated guess that the Sansa e280 may have been a floor model. 18 songs is a very odd number for a used one to have, and it certainly doesn't seem refurbished in any way.

EDIT2: I figured out what the camera is! It's this: http://store.digiblue.com/SNAP_5_Megapixel_Digital_Camera_Black_p/db15002.htm

Camera is actually better gristle than I had originally thought!

TrueGreenSpartan wrote:OK so I looked up the information on the frame. Best Buy is the only company that carries them. does anyone know what Best Buy's return policy is without receipt? I'm thinking I claim it as a gift and that they ordered it through the mail and removed all stickers (which are removed) but lost the receipt. Think I'll get anywhere?

Ok, I'm not saying that's a right thing to do, or an ethical thing to do. I'm not suggesting that YOU DO it, although a part of me says - Best Buy screws its customers by a dozen (per store) daily, so screw them...

You may be able to go to your local Best Buy and buy exact model of the frame (make sure to charge it to a credit card for extra protection should you need it). Then you may be able to take your busted frame out of the badly beaten up box, put it into the shiny new BB box and bring it back as dead on arrival... Just make sure the serial number is not printed on the box... If it is, you'll have to try to get them the beaten one back... If all works - you'll end up with a brand new frame in a busted box....

Another thing to try (more appropriate?) is to call the manufacturer and claim you have received as a gift this DOA frame, and see if they would service it under warranty... Many people have done this in previous Bunch of Crepes occurrences with cameras, and other electronic items, and it worked for some.

Got my first Bunch of Crepes in the mail today! Definitely worth the fun and wait.

In my 22.3 lb package I received:

- One beautiful strand of 28 Bags of Texas air, with only 3 DOA
- Sunpak Platinum Plus Tripod
- Meade 6 Piece Backpack Outdoor Set (Probably a return because of the double vision binoculars. Now works as a dual monocular!)
- Disney Neon Wall Clock- Mickey and Minnie
- RCA 1GB Sport MP3 Player (Return, currently charging in my USB, has all pieces)
- Texas Hold 'em set
- Fact or Cr@p quiz book
- Random furry cat keychain thing. I took a picture of it. It's soft and it's head moves, but it kind of freaks me out

Below are some pics. Sorry if the images are jacked up - this is my first attempt at posting an image

My bagel or crepe came today! It was left outside my door, which is odd, because the woot package I got yesterday was left at the Post Office for me to pick up, which is how I have to do it now since the carriers in this area are either idiots or distracted by their oh-so-important cell phone conversations to check the address on the package against the actual address they leave the package at. Anyway, yay for stupid postal carriers because I got my gristle early!

Here's Everything:

Received:
Some fine Texas air.
1 Pic-a-nic basket
1 Texas HoldEm Pack
1 Sansa Fuze Media Player 4GB (Refurb, but works)
1 KODAK EASYSHARE M1033 10MP Digital Camera (Refurb, haven't checked if it works) with Battery, wall charger, plastic stand, and manual
1 Car adapter for a rechargeable battery charger (not battery charger included)
1 remote control for a Chaney Instruments BBQ/Oven thermometer (no thermometer included)
1 Inspirational Angel Electronic Messenger

The Angel Messenger is awesome. It will become my new Magic 8 ball.

What say you, Electronic Angel, about this awesome bagel or crepe?

received today! didn't weigh it - got 4 things: the picnic basket, texas hold'em cards, a spongebob squarepants toy, and a Omnitech GPS that worked briefly until it froze up on startup. no problem! I went online to see how to hack it up and now works just fine after I made a few modifications, thanks, YouTube!

My Bunch of Crepes got delayed from the 12th to the 16th but I can't complain because this has been the best anticipation of any of my bags yet. Usually you can kind of guess what you might receive based on other people with similar weight and dimensions. Yet this time there are tons of bags in the 3-5 pound range that have completely random gristle in them, some great, some not so great. Regardless of what I get, the waiting game has been well worth the $8. Thanks Woot for the opportunity!

I took a box of them to work today and put them on my desk and they were gone by noon, I have already had request to bring more tomorrow. Once everyone finds out I paid 8 dollars for them from a site called woot.com they just comment on how big of a nerd I really am and walk of laughing.

Received my carp today. Tracking claimed it was 4.2lbs. I weighed it in at just under 3lbs. Upon arrival box was torn and tape looked like it had been tampered with. I suspect foul play. I blame FedEx.

10x Bags of TX Air of varying levels of inflation
2x Inspirational Angel Electronic Messenger Magnets for double the inspiration.
1x Wannabe Wicker Picnic Basket
1x Obligatory Texas Hold'em Set
1x 8G Sansa Sandisk Fuse (Loose in box. Refurb. Screen has some small scratches. No charger, but came fully charged and works so far. Not sure how this managed to not fall out of the hole in the box. Maybe that TX air actually has a purpose?!)
1x Pair Sansa Headphones (Loose in box, working)
1x GoStereo Foldable Portable iPod Speaker System (In original but opened package, probably a return. "AC adapter sold separately" and I don't have AAA batteries on hand to see if it works)
1x Acu-Rite Wireless Digital Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer (Loose in box, probably used. It powers on but I haven't tried it out yet)

I was disappointed when I first saw my damaged box, but the contents (especially the Sansa) made up for that upset. I am very pleased with my carp, but I still can't help but wonder if there was anything else that was snatched. :/
