Son just asked for pineapple upside cake for his birthday dessert. With 13 people, that means making two of them. One iron skillet. Guess I'll make them the day before.

You always make from-scratch pineapple upside down cake in an iron skillet. Like my mother and my grandmother. I doubt if my great-grandmother had pineapple.

hard to say....depends on if ya want general cleaning, therapeutic, etc. I personally use the color-enhancing shampoos I get from groomers catalogs or at the dog show, and follow with creme rinse. I think the creme rinse is what makes the difference. They don't need conditioner, just creme rinse.

My Mom made them in a cast iron skillet. They sure are yummy. I've done it both ways. Man I'll have to make one soon.

Epicouious says it originated in the 1920. It is baked in a cast iron skillet.

EDIT2: James Beard just said it could be cooked in a skillet. No explanation.

Hi all. Had a busy family weekend that included family nap time. Working on thank yous and taking care of the baby more (although he still really likes his grandma time).
