This is actually a good thing.

Mango/chili is also a good pairing, in small quantities. I had a mango/chili ice cream bar once. At the beginning I thought it would be really good without the chili's hotness, at the end I was tired of the chili's flavor.

Scotch and Dr. Pepper

Obvs, not recommended for quality scotch but it can make that $20 per gallon stuff taste great.

No joke: Ice cream and hamburger. They sell an ice cream sundae burger at McGuire's Irish Pub in Pensacola & Destin, FL. It's spectacular.

I had horseradish whipped-cream one time in a restaurant on some cake. I didn't think it would be good, but it was. I seemed to taste both ingredients completely independently.

Well this is just a slow spiral into insanity, isn't it?

I'd stick with homemade. It's tough to find quality orphan tears in the stores these days.

I know a GREAT international market.

The experience of the worlds finest amoral chefs is that only fresh orphan tears are suitable for cooking, so you'll need to buy an orphan. Different nationalities have different flavors, so a true connoisseur will need a collection of orphans.
Also, while some have reccomended producing tears with onion, this can add an unacceptable flavor to some dishes. There are both mechanical and visual stimuli that can be used to stimulant orphans to produce tears suitable for culinary use. A combination of techniques will maximize productivity. Be sure to keep your orphan hydrated.

Also, it should go without saying, but orphans can carry disease, so buy them only from reputable child traffickers.

Finally, culinary orphans will eventually wear out, and stop producing tears; at this point, it's time for the stew-pot.


On another note, some of these flavor combinations can be prepared expediently by using a single ingredient filling both roles. For example, get socialism and an aluminum swimming pool by using the pool belonging to your wealthier neighbor. If your first crush has had LASIK surgery, that flavor combination is similarly simple - just boil their eyeballs, and add to the rest of the meal. And so on.
