It is really snowing here. My yard is all white and serene. It takes your breath away. The beauty of it. It 2:30 AM, no sound, no cars on the road. It is like I have this all to my self.

IIRC you could do that with the old Excel. In fact, I didn't recall there being anything you couldn't do. Perhaps I'm getting old, but MS had been frying things up a lot. I have to jump through 20 hoops to do some simple thing that I could do easily on the old stuff. Dumbing things down is not an improvement.

Don't everyone answer at once

Band is in the basement.

House is too small for a band in the basement.

Ugh, today is daughter visit grandparent day.
Brunch with my mom, dinner with dad's parent. Except she is waiting for her clothes to dry to get dressed.
It will be 2 or 3 by the time we eat lunch.
Other grandparents eat at 6.

OUCH! Way to go poof!

Good thing I was productive yesterday. Ver3 has been a bit clingy and needy. I still need to go shopping for tomorrow's baby shower and should get shoes for the girls. And I think we are going to have to switch Ver3's wardrobe to the next size. The outfit he wore today fit really well and it was in the bigger size. I can't believe he is that big already.

Brunch...waffle. OK. Mom only made a few negative comments.
Wrong career. Why does boyfriend have a beard?
Oh, and I never saw so many black people in here before.
Which is usually something my mother in law would say.

Dinner, not hungry so I got a fatting dish that I like, figuring I would only eat a little. But it wasn't any good. I usually get it somewhere else.
Hubby's parents would never dream of saying anything negative to a kid. So they just told stories of stupid things we did at the weddings down in New Orleans back when the cousins were getting married.

Now they went to the movies with son.

The band still has it's equipment down the basement, so I guess they will be back tomorrow.

Poof, it is a different band.
Son's band would just record stuff down there. Playing the same riff over and over and over.
This is a kid from down the block's band.
They actually play places.
They needed more members and recruted son's band to merge into theirs.
Son is the only one who stuck with it.
They played at Boston College for free.
Last week, they played someplace in Times Square and got paid.
I think that place invited them back, in a bigger room.
They needed more songs, to play a longer set.

One of those guys was in a frat and frat people show up for all the gigs.

They are suppose to get paid for this gig too.

So, this is a full band all playing at the same time.
You can turn down the electronic stuff, but the drums aren't electronic.

Hopefully , in a few weeks, they will all hear from their assorted grad schools.
The other kids are Indian. I don't think they can rehearse in any of their basements. They were renting studio space before they included son.

OK, the girl cousin wanted a New York wedding.
Since they had money, they had this really ritzy hall in the French Quarter.
The guys were going up to the top floor and peeing down onto the street below.
The cops came, but the father of the bride was a judge, so they didn't do anything.

On the same trip.
We got all dressed up as hillbillies one day and went to an amusement park.
We got kicked out, because the judge and his son had a drinking problem and started a fist fight.
They knew we were part of the group because we were dressed up.

Before we got kicked out, one brother in law, who had 30 stitches on his head (result of some go cart accident at home. He said he thought about safety. He tied himself in. But with no roll bar, or helmet, that just dragged him along when he flipped the go cart!) wanted to go on the roller coster.
They wouldn't let him because the stitches might break open.
So he gets another brother in law, who was in dental school at the time, and they convinced the first aid guy he was stitches guy's doctor and it was OK.
Now, who goes on vacation with their doctor?
Who is drunk.
And dressed like a hillbilly

I'm glad we were the second wedding and most of the family was still in grade school or high school.
Nothing really stupid happened at my wedding.
Thank goodness, because I had a huge group of kids from the neighborhood and if the neighborhood and the family tried to outdo each other, they would had destroyed the hall!

By the time we got to wedding #5 or 6, there were blow up dolls and naked butts in the wedding cake.

Well, that was wedding #3 for that guy and wedding #11 for the family.

Howdy, hope everyone had a pleasant weekend. Sorry, I don't have time to read back to actually find out if you all did...have to get to that tomorrow.

Just wanted to drop in to leave this link for Daj in case you're interested. I know you've been following the story about that school district who was spying on some kids at home.

"After the suit was filed, the company that last year bought out LANrev's owner said trying to track computers through covert Web cam photos didn't make sense. Company officials said they would eliminate that part of the software.

"They're not admissible in court, and it isn't an effective way of finding a stolen laptop," said Stephen Midgley, vice president for marketing at Absolute Software Corp."

Here's the article.

Have a good rest of the evening. Have to get some work done here. Good night.
