Good luck d'name!
Good morning!
It's the beginning of the fog season. This part of California has two seasons...fog season, March - October, and non-fog season October - March.
From here on out, most days the fog will creep in around 4 pm, stay until 10 the next day when it will retreat to just off shore, leaving everything hazy.
Marine layer was thick enough last night that the condensation dripping off the roof sounded like rain.
I hate fog season.

Normal fog, as seen other places, I like.
The fog here was fascinating for about a month. Sometimes it's like a wall, moving in from the ocean, so thick you can't see 10 feet. Windy days, it swirls and twists but never goes away. The sky, when you can see it at all, is a drab, steel color.
It's what keeps the temperatures mild, as well...but it's depressing as all get out.

But snow...you can play in snow.
You can have snowball fights.
You can go sledding.
You can ski.
Build forts.
Make snow angels.
The fog...it just looms. Blocks the sun. No games. No activities. Raises humidity so 70 feels COLD. Makes everything constantly damp, and dusty and mildewy, since things seldom really dry out.
I shan't miss it one bit!!!
