Anyway, I am the manager of a band, and I take video of them when they play live shows with my Flip Mino. (examples here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Zmickmusic) It's center mounted and a super light camera. If your camera fits this description I would go for it.

I hope that these tripods get the job done. seems like I'll have to be in the balcony or something though.

I got the one from the last wootoff to help with my allergies and keeping up with cat hair. Iis amazing!!!
