Especially since I gave her the background, and then turned up the volume when you hear him say, in a very disappointed voice "It looks like...car wax."

I sent an email to woot asking about the bag since this was my first crap. They said they would send a bag.

I see that someone else did that and got a paper lunch bag. Guess I'll finally be able to bring my lunch!

Haha, that's too funny. I seem to have directly violated a specific commandment. I always thought it meant just because your's is heavier than someone else's or heavier than last time doesn't mean it's going to be better, etc. And you're right: having fewer boxes doesn't mean it will be any better either. It's still fun to hope, though. I was actually just happy to get one. I was having a terrible tax day until the Happy Hour yesterday!

I agree with you, btw. All of my boxes except one, which included a working Zune, were all pretty crappy. Keeping my expectations low made the crappy ones good and the one exception great. Your advice is rock solid.

Radioshack sells them. Do you have one nearby? No shipping that way.

Items from the Bowl of Cereal do not come with a warranty, so you shouldn't contact Woot about it. I'm sorry to say, but your crap was just crappier than you expected it to be! ;)

I'm tempting to take the thing apart but I need a tiny screw driver. =/ Guess I'll need a trip to the evil wally world.

You can probably fix them, but those are covered. Woot will take care of you, probably with another pair.

My wife's finally came in after a fun trip from Dallas to Phoenix, back to Dallas, to Kansas City, and finally to Iowa.

2 sets of woot lights

It was identical to this one (even the t-shirt was the same) except my wife's had two sets of lights.

I can track my Happy Hour (4/14) Bowl of Cereal by reference number now. I also just found a thread for it, which is probably a better place to discuss it than here. Congratulations to all who scored one!

yes... they both turn on.. but one sticks and grinds.. like its hitting the side of the plastic or something.. I'm not sure I don't have a screw driver small enough to undo the ones on the base.

But either way it just sits there making a sound like the motor is trying to turn and makes a horrible sound with no movement.
