I think it's the center for the "midwest" area. I live in Louisville, KY and all of my smartpost items from Woot go through New Berlin. It's always sad seeing it leave Texas to go to Wisconsin knowing they could've just thrown it out of the plane at me.

How far "upstate"? I'm in northern Vermont (across lake Champlain from very upstate NY, stone's throw from good ol' Quebec) and mine's going through West Virginia.

Never try to guess where Smartpost ships something. My packages from woot also go through New Berlin on the way to Louisville. This time they left in approx. 24 hours, a new speed record from them. They still say it will be delivered on the 13th. If they are fast in Indianapolis maybe it can be delivered on Saturday. Then again it is Smartpost and the post office.

My box got tired of New Berlin and is headed out to Leetsdale, PA. (I hope, that is where it should go next.)

I am in NW PA. I normally get it the next business day after it arrives in Leetsdale. If I get lucky, tomorrow. More likely Monday, with a nice leisurely stay in Leetsdale to rest up for the final leg.

Smartpost goes ground. They could have a monkee winging stuff off the side the whole way through and be almost done by the time they arrive in New Berlin.

Nope, it did not.

It was a plastic clam shell, with the DVD player, rechargable battery, AC adapter, car adapter, RCA cables, and remote.

Mine is 12.2 in. x 9.4 in. x 4.9 in. and was 3.5 pounds but now it's 1.3 pounds. It left New Berlin last night but the snow must have slowed it down because it is usually delivered the next day after it leaves New Berlin but it says it isn't scheduled for delivery until Saturday.

Two craps, one bag. I think I got fooled. The tripod also does not work with dSLRs, but I figured that anyway. On the plus side, I was easily able to get rid of the Jonas Brothers bag.

Made it through Atlanta Fedex, still holding at 2.3 lbs. USPS shows it as sorted and planned for delivery today, crossing the fingers!

It looks like this bag may rival my very first epic adventure for the most crappy every (this is my 9th bag overall).

In my first bag I got an old Joy Stick that must have came from the 90s, a go-duster (truly crappy), and a pressure-washer nozzle for your hose with a reservoir for soap (utterly crappy).

If I at least get a shirt that I can wear this time around then it won't over-throw my first bag as kind of the garbage heap.

I can't decide if these early reports are unwanted buzz-kill posts, or if they'll help me manage my expectations a little better, so I won't be hurt more later?

I guess I'm a little luckier than most at 4.6 lbs, but it doesn't look like they're cleaning out their Sansa closet, does it?

Still, woot-loot is to be treasured, and treasure it I will.

As soon as I drop the sack-o-krap child-sized shirt and dollar-store tripods at the church thrift store donation bin, I'll be thinking about my next Bustier Of Charms.

My epic adventure went on a diet as well. Somewhere between Chino and LA, it went from 4.2lb to 2.7lb.

I did finally get real dimensions though:

Left New Berlin 10:51PM last night for Arlington Heights, IL. Still scheduled for 4/10, still weighs 5.3 pounds, down from initial but no change entering or leaving New Berlin. Perhaps it gnawed upon another Adventure hernia while there in order to avoid the weight loss plaguing so many others as they travel through Wisconsin.

There's a chance it may come tomorrow, but past experience is 2 full days once it leaves New Berlin.

I live in Chicago and my Friday crap showed up at home 2 days after it left New Berlin and this one left there at about the same time on the 7th. I'm hopeful and expecting it to be home on the 9th now. Now ask me if I'm hopeful for some cool stuff and well... I'm no Jonas Brothers fan.

The Antenna I'm using gets 8-9 channels on my SDTV converter box. I'm kinda bummed out on the card at this point.

I'm currently using a mediocre Philips indoor antenna, which used to work better at a different location. Now I'm about 22-26 miles from the stations, according to AntennaWeb.org, so I'm considering the Antennas Direct DB4 Multi-Directional HDTV Antenna, which I will mount in my attic. (I was considering the DB2 and DB8, but the DB8 doesn't seem to be available anymore...) I should have 7 or 8 digital channels, but only two (ABC and FOX) have a strong enough signal, even after carefully positioning my indoor antenna. I do not believe the ATI HDTV card is at fault; a better antenna should fix everything.

I think Fedex has to be the most lazy company about updating tracking info. UPS, once it is scanned its updated. Scottsbluff NE is 3 hours from Denver. How can this have left Denver at 6:00 p.m. still not be scanned this morning?

And I'm an hour south. I somewhat understand why it takes so long (used to work at both UPS and USPS), but it's still aggravating :-P

And I guess I should clarify, my gripe isn't with how long it takes FedEx to get it here, its how long they take to update there site. I'm guessing my package has already been handed off to USPS. And that is where my problem lies. The last four items I have wooted, the USPS has "lost or misplaced" every single one of them. It took 2 weeks from FedEx handing off to the USPS, for them to 'find' where they misplaced my Stanley tripod flashlight two pack and get it delivered.

And my wife and I are close to North Platte NE. Ours has started to go through Kansas City rather than through Denver. Our bags left Kansas City at 2:34 am yesterday the 7th. It hasn't been scanned since. If its like the last few items it will show up at the post office tody or tomorrow at about 10:27 AM to be scanned BUT not updated on the tracking until AFTER we pick it up. It gets lemon juice in the eye but its the way of the SmartPost (although I do not think it is all that smart).

This is more true then you know is some cases. My packages get driven through my town on the way to making a big U-turn in Denver. The FedEx center is immediately off the freeway. They could literally throw it off the truck from the right hand lane and get it to the local sorting center.

My woot packages usually "hang" on Fedex and have no updates until delivered by USPS. Go to the www.usps.com site, enter your Fedex tracking number and you should get updates on where it is in the USPS system.
