These are wonderful chopping blocks. I have the maple one--it is beautiful in the kitchen and really an heirloom. Funny comment about chopping walnuts, too!

You do realize the reason for the high price is due to transportation costs. At 26 lbs getting it to and from manufacturer to end user is costly.
