A few months back I bought a Vornado floor fan. If the quality for this is anything like that, then I am SO in for one!

Just checked out Sellout.Woot and their deal really blows too. If you are not in the market for a fan I guess you are out of luck until tomorrow.

In for one... er, two. Exactly the fan I was about to buy on Amazon. Far cheaper here.

I bought 3 of these fans on a previous woot, well worth the money. Great fans. They had a "circuit board" smell for the first few hours though, ysmv.

I've used Vornado fans and these will not cut it if you play...oh...anything heavier than Sarah McLachlan.

They're desk fans, and they're phenomenal for that.

How stable is the base? I mean aren't these fans strong, will they tip over if they are not positioned exactly flat?

Got one in red last time around for the wife... got to keep them hot-flashes under control... she LOVES IT. Great fan, super quiet and excellent construction.

I have these, along with the bigger Vornado fans. This brand is excellent. If you use them like you are supposed to (to circulate a room) you can tell the difference. I turn the AC off while I'm at work and leave the fans running.

Now that I'm done linking, a personal review:

I bought this from Woot, and I'm quite happy with it. My brother-in-law has a couple of the large standing Vornado circulators, and my brother Wooted a Flippi, so I though I'd get one for my desk. It really moves a lot of air for a unit this size, and it's quieter than several reviews led me to believe it would be (actually, I run an air purifier in my office, and I can't even hear the Flippi).

I also have little trouble turning it on and off with one hand (also contrary to a few reviews I've read here). The swivel feature is quite handy, but best of all is the Flippi feature itself - how it folds up so neatly when not in use, and looks like a spaceship.

If that's so, I can heartily recommend it, since the one I Wooted (which does indeed say "V6" on the bottom) circulates a lot of air.

2 for 2 is fantastic. You can have one on your desk and one to air your feet out!

Great price, they were more expensive last time I bought them from woot and they work well. It's nice to also see something new on woot for once, I am tired of seeing other peoples refurbished junk being sold on woot over and over.

I bought two in an earlier Woot. These look great and fold up nice and sleek. Alas, looks aren't everything. They just don't move much air.

It's been a long while since I wooted. I'm in for a pair of these. It's always too hot in my room. I'll have one for the PC desk and one by the TV for when I play Monster Hunter Tri.

Now I just need woot to sell a cheap PC Playstation style gamepad/controller. Been waiting on one of those for awhile. Probably missed them a few times though.

Which might be why most of the reviews for the V8 on Amazon and Newegg say that the V8 fan is loud, and doesn't move air all that well?

You don't have a V8, so your recommendation is not all that valuable. Not a dig at you, just reality.

I have two of these, and I used them to provide better air circulation in my dorm room.

If you happen to get 4 of these, you can put one near each corner, and get a fairly decent, constant air flow in your small to medium sized room.

I do advise to always angle them up and keep them away from walls because the intakes need a little more space than most other fans to be effective.

In for 2 - one my desk and one for the bath.

I'm one of those ladies that perspires when I do my hair and my makeup, summer or winter. Also a personal fan like this helps eyeliner and makeup set faster so I get out the door quicker.

Love the way this look and could see lots of uses for these.

Who needs fans on Facebook when I have Woot?

I actually got one of these in my first Book of Crap and it's still running strong. Definitely recommend, good to air out those pits when sitting at the computer for a while.

Bought 2 the last time they were offered and it was a waste of money. They're noisy and under powered.

Google some reviews, they aren't good.

These are great, sleek, move a good amount of air, and look great on your office desk. Just don't be surprised that if you were hoping that it would hover if you faced the fan downwards because it doesn't (I don't know why they wouldn't have added this feature). In for 3!(maybe if I have three it would work.... hmmmm!)

Yeah, unfortunately, only the V6 comes in cool colors like red, blue, green, pink, etc. The V8 seems to be black only and the V10 white only. It's quite a racist arrangement.

Despite all the bad reviews (and there are plenty), I'd buy a pair if Vornado would offer a choice other than black...at this price they are worth the risk.
