Good morning all. I'm stealing connection from a fast food joint.
Vacation has been great so far. Visit with daughter was fun. We were no closer than 500 meters from the rioting but did get a wiff of the tear gas...that was cool!
Temperatures are nice and cool, a great break.
Today is Canada day (like July 4th) so a whole day of celebration in my hometown. We will be home on Sat.
Hope you'all are all doing ok...I'll catch up when I get home.
In the end only kindness matters

Amazon buys Woot. And then Amazon crashes...
I bet it was all the Wooters searching Amazon for a Bolsa de Caca.

WOW! I knew Amazon must have paid a lot for Woot, but I didn't realize it was this much. Good for the woot god.
Amazon acquired daily deals site Woot for $110 million in cash.
Guess I should have put a link.
wonder what woot's gross revenues were last year?

Edit: Just realized that your eyes may not see the coloring difference on your screen. The $164 has a link to click on for the article.
Only a hundred sixtyfour dollars!!!!!!
(I can see links fine now; even finer after 22 July!!!)

I hate military baloney.
I requested a prescription be renewed. Doctor knows I'm getting a divorce, and will no longer be eligible for military health care.
Decides to write the script for 90 days instead of the normal one year.
After being a military dependent for so long...it's really disheartening to see an officer behave so unprofessionally.

Oh...it's worse. They can get away with this bs, and there aren't any legal options. I can't even sue them.
Baffles me why some people want government healthcare. I've lived that option...it isn't great.

It's better than nothing for those willing to push and fight and watch out for their own care--but for the average joe who wants doctors to work miracles and fix all their problems without any work themselves...it's not much of a bump up.
