Think about that drool. No kidding.. If you have any interest in Neapolotan/French mastiffs... it's seriously brutal.

English and bull mastiffs are not bad for it though...

Other than the drool... it's an awesome dog.

I will probably go small - but it will be a while before I get another dog. puppies are a big commitment, and I work a lot.

Everyone out again?
Hubby is working, son is sleeping, dog is lying in the sun (after checking the yard for firework stuff), cat is sleeping in the room with no AC.

Too hot to do anything.

Still here. Procrastinating. There's a cast iron skillet sitting in the kitchen that husband used to fry bacon over an open fire. It needs to be washed. It's a yucky, messy job with black stuff everywhere. *sigh* It's not going to go away by itself.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

WARNING...THERE IS ACTUALLY NOTHING TO READ HERE

So, if nobody is around I will just type out stuff again.

This was some year for nyc to decide to not open all the pools to save money. Not that they have that many anyway. Especially when you consider many of the lower and lower middle class have no AC.

The fireworks last night were nice. No grass fires. Then again, the grass is short, it isn't a field.
Only one piece of firework in the yard. Not bad considering the neighbors were shooting off big stuff and some exploded above the house.

Now the water district wants to cut back on water use. OK, I just overwater for the fireworks. Rusty actually likes dead grass, good for scratching his back on!

On the news....guy on the long island expressway, going the wrong way. How drunk do you have to be to get on a road that busy the wrong way, even at 6am, and not notice. Oh...he had a suspended license. Oh, here is a twist, the wrong way driver is in much worse shape than the other driver. Well, if someone is going to die, it should be him, not the poor other guy.

Hot dog eating champ was arrested! Let out of jail today. It seems he wasn't invited to be in the Coney Island contest, so he ran up on the stage. The crowd cheered him, so he might have started eating. Not sure, but he was arrested

A sister in law has invited everyone up to her summer house for a weekend. The New Orleans relatives are up for a visit. The aunt is old now, I guess we will have to go see her. At that age, it might be the last time we see her healthy

This sister in law bought a huge house, but it only has 3 bedrooms. I think she did that on purpose so everyone doesn't go up and try to stay!
So she is looking for hotels and inns.
She is the one who had to bring her dog everywhere. Invite her and her husband, you better expect the dog! Bull mastiff, so not a small pup. Around 110 lbs.
But now that the dog is getting old, he doesn't like other dogs! So we can't bring Rusty. I think one other family dog can go, because Sophie knew that dog when she was younger.
The dentist only brings his dog to make it look like he cares. That dog spends most of the day in a kennel in the yard. I would bet that he spends most nights there too.
They built the kennel behind the garage, so he can't even see the house. They did it when the lot next to them was for sale.
About 2 acres, but they put the kennel on the property line where the house would have to be built.
Oh, wait, his wife is never going to any of husbands family things again...so he won't be going. Although I bet his son would love to go.

Oh, back to the weekend....
So, even though s i l has a huge piece of land, can't even see another house, and a huge house, I guess we will have to leave Rusty.
Not that he cares. The place we leave him has play date times and all sorts of stuff.
But on a weekend, in July, I bet we will have to get the room with the TV and the couch again, because it is usually available.

HOLLY CRAP...98 degrees???? All week???? ICK!
Maybe we should have joined the pool. We should have a doggie pool to join.
I wonder if Rusty swims?

News report on dogs in Italy that do water rescue. They can even jump out of helicopters. Each dog rescues about 10 people a year!
They can pull 6 people 1/2 a mile in the water. with a rope with those floating rings tied to it.

Is the entire Twilight series about the werwolf's trying to eat whats her name? Because I have about 20 pages left to the first book. I'm not liking that part.
If the other books are about that, I guess I shouldn't have bought them. Costco had them so much cheaper, that I got them all.
Well, not the last one, it was only hard cover at the time.
I've been reading the first one for about a year now. I guess I should just admit I don't care and give the books away.
I did find out that daughter likes the movies, so I can give them to her.
The one I read is a mess, I was bringing it to the dog park. That is why I bought my own. No matter what my s i l said about not caring what the book look liked when I returned it...This is the dirtiest, beat up book I ever saw.

Are you still reading this? Why?
Damn, I'm out of blueberries. Guess I'll have to get more while they are in season.

I'm back. The skillet wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it sure made a mess of the sink. I don't remember that happening before. Took a lot of elbow grease and Scotch Brite pads.

Need additional details. Are you telling us that you gave your mom a birthday present and she accused you of not giving her anything? That's really hard to believe. Especially having met your mom.

And you need to bug the hell out of your siblings to get the money they owe you.

My mom can't remember anything. She forgets our names half the time, Doesn't remember seeing any movies, forgets how old we are, etc.

Mom: "Sense I'm sure you haven't gotten me anything for my birthday, would you put the other mudflap on the golfcart?"

Me: "What are you talking about, I got you that composter that cost $100"

Mom: "Oh, well, would you put the mud flap on anyways? I can just pay you for the composter."

Note that she said she wanted it before I bought it.
