Adding to lbrigby's comment, here's my mini thirty-second addition to the topic. The bottom line is: run away!
I recently purchased a 52" Philips TV and returned it two months later (I love Sam's Club/Costco return policy), and here's why.
Out of the box it looked great. The picture was absolutely amazing and the setup couldn't be easier. One amazing feature (at least, conceptually), was that it had a HDMI port WITH a L/R composite audio input - as in, a easy computer connection. See here for a picture:

I wanted to use my PC as a media center; I had two means of connecting it. I connected the PC using the DVI<->HDMI cable and L/R composite cable. No sound. I restarted the PC - I hear the startup/shutdown sounds, but nothing once logging in.
Lone and behold, the nvidia drivers apparently are trying (but failing) to send sound over the HDMI connection. OK, several hours later, I found a nvidia admission of the problem -- apparently it is well known. They had an app which would disable the audio-over-HDMI signal, so I used it.
Sound! Yes. Woohoo. I was content. Then, the next day, the sound was completely gone - from the PC, TV, etc.. I unplugged the TV for a minute, plugged it back in - and all was ok once more. This was a constant problem: if the PC HDMI cable was connected, the TV would randomly lose all sound until drained of power.
Alas, I returned the TV. I recently bought a 42" Proscan TV from Walmart - $200 more then this - but oh-so-worth it. I plugged the HDMI cable in and everything worked. The sound never dies.
I do not recommend Philips if you're going to use your PC with it; the Philips support folks are nice but clueless in this area. It will take absolute determination to get it setup and then a big annoyance to live with the sound issue, if it happens to you too. Totally not worth it here, considering you cannot return it to Woot!.
