No, you don't pay DISH anything. The Dish Pal DVR is for over-the-air only, not satellite. I think they discontinued it, but you can still find them in some Sears stores. Maybe Woot will buy the remaining inventory.

I believe replay TV is also free, but it is also long discontinued.

Doubt you want to use it on your computer. I have charter and needed a cablecard put in by the company

Umm what cable provider gives u a dvr for $5 a month. It sure isn't HD if they do! Craptastic HD-DVR here is 15.95 a month. Since i have tivo service already, this one is gonna cost me only 8 per month plus the $1.99 for a cable card, 1st cable card is free!

Might want to check ur bill? They may have "installed" it for free but I almost wanna bet it's costing you somewhere on your bill? That's were the cable companies get ya. HD-DVR + HD programming + additional fee's for more boxes, etc...

I agree...most everything I've ordered from Woot shipped the next day or possibly 2 days. Even with the weekend and Monday as a holiday, I would have thought Wednesday evening at the latest for shipping. If they do the "5 business days" this won't ship out till Monday next week.

Yeah I hope it shipped today? I live 6hrs away in Houston, I almost wanna ask if I can just drive there and pick it up. Otherwise, it seems like it takes forever for something to go 320 miles or so.

Oh woot i remember you when you were young, you tried so hard to make us happy, you got the bags of crap shipped made sure that everything was on its way the next day. I too didn't receive notice of shipment but the reference number trick reveals that it shipped on the 9th or 10th and is due here on the East Coast on the 14th. Can't wait!

Thanks to everyone who responded & posted that they found out their Woot Tivo order has shipped.

Woot is probably still busy trying to recover & catch up after the July 4th holiday weekend. Guess it may require extra time to ship even though Woot "typically ships within 5 business days". Unfortunately, the instructions to check order status do NOT match the web site very well, leading to confusion.

I placed my order too on July 3rd & received the e-mail confirmation with order number & followed the instructions "to check your order status" by going to woot.com & logging in & check your order history on the "your account tab".

I clicked on the item "Tivo HD XL DVR" on the "your account" web page, but even though it says good news on the "order status" web page that "you're order is in" & "you're all set now", it also reports "You can revisit this page by clicking the order number link on the "your account" page" BUT there is NO "order number link" on the "your account" web page. I clicked on the order receipt web link where fortunately it all looks the same & correct like the day I placed my order.


Thanks dereklam for your good tip how you found out your order has shipped. Unfortunately when I go to your track by reference web link & type in the required info, the summary results response reports the message "Unique match not found" so I guess Woot has not yet given my order to FedEx yet.
