The 8" model is going for over $300 most everywhere else.

Questions though: With the memory foam is there any bouncability to it, or will I need to keep my old mattress for jumping up and down?

I would worry about the outgassing; most of these memory foam materials are petroleum based. Lots of info about this online.

I've bought two memory foam mattresses from Woot! and I've been ecstatic about them. This doesn't look exactly like the other queen I've got, but it looks sufficiently similar that I would recommend it.

I sleep incredibly well on mine, so does my dog, who used to wake me up in the middle of the night to let him out. Now that I've got this, he doesn't move for like 15 hours, he's still in my bed at like noon the next day.

This one isn't fun, there's nothing online about it...

Probably 10 times as much, at least.
The king over at sellout looks like a better deal. Either way, this is some deeply relaxing stuff. With 8 inches of foam I could probably practice my bowling swing in bed while my lovely wife sleeps soundly next to me.

Six feet, eight inches long. Add in a pillow, and your legs might go over the edge of the mattress.

Honestly though... would love to know if these are hot? I've tried memory foam pillows and my head always seems to get too hot. I've stayed away from these because I've always thought that I would get too hot from the foam being all over my body.

I own this mattress and highly recommend it. It's super comfortable. I'll never sleep on a "springy" mattress again.

Hot. Got one a couple times ago when woot sold them and I eventually put it into the guest bedroom and got a new pillow top mattress instead. Very nice mattress, but if you dont move at night, expect whatever part of your body that is pressed down into this mattress to start getting pretty warm.

Though this one has air ducts, still not interested.

My only real concern is the lack of a warranty. Tempur-Pedic mattresses come with a 20 year (pro-rated after the first 10) warranty. Its probably fine but...

I can promise you that this bed cannot out gas me. If it really thinks it can I accept its challenge.

I own this mattress from when they sold it in March.

It's an excellent mattress. I am EXTREMELY sensitive to heat when I'm sleeping but it has not been a problem. I love it and if you're on the market for one (and don't need a king like they have on Sellout) I highly recommend it.

As cool as this item looks (the king size on Sellout looks even better), this is just one of those items I'd have to "try before I buy".

How many naps have you guys out in Texas taken on these things, and how did they feel?

Does anybody know how much this thing weighs?

I have a memory foam mattress, and love it. They come all rolled up, and promptly expand like a navy raft when you break the vacuum seal. They do emit aome odor for the first couple days so you may want to leave it in a well ventilated area for a while before use. Lastly, there is no bounce factor, there is however a thud factor, so keep that old mattress for jumping on, or to line the walls of a small room.

I don't know if this is the same mattress, but for what it's worth: I bought a queen memory foam mattress on Woot last year - not quite a year ago - and it developed a saggy low spot months later.

You cannot flip the mattress - it has a hard side and a soft side. You can only rotate it.

If this is the same, and I suspect it is, this is a very cheap version of the 'good brands' of memory foam mattresses.

If the deal seems too good to be true... it probably is. I'm totally disappointed in the one I bought here. FYI>

The cheaply made foam mattresses do have that problem. But the better quality ones are "de-gassed."

I have the 5lb 2" foam mattress topper installed on my bed here in my house in Phoenix.

I love it. The extra heat really doesn't bug me.

Do beware, though, foam toppers and mattresses behave quite differently when it comes to flames and fire (so keep the candles far away...)

"Memory foam" has no "bouncability" at all. Regular (latex) foam has a slight bit.

One of the selling points of these things is that one person can climb out of, or even jump on, it without "jiggling" the other person sleeping on it.

Regarding the "outgassing" issues some have mentioned, it would be a very good idea to open the package, unfold/unroll it, and let it sit in an uninhabited room with the window open for a week, or even two, before putting it on a bed you sleep on.

Same for any foam mattress or pad.
