No, it is too hot.

Way too hot.

Plus I tried to walk Rusty. The sun was out. It started to rain!
With the sun out. Thunder and rain in the sun.
I gave up and went home.
Hope we get the night walk in because there is no poop in the yard.
Good lord, they are talking about tornados north of here.
When did we become tornado alley?
Only one when I was a kid and it only damaged one building.
Now someplace in the area has hail and wind damage almost every week.

I wonder if the town dog pound would let me bring Rusty?

I know North Shore Animal League wouldn't.

Is the North Shore Animal League local? Or is it like the humane society, all over the place?

I volunteer at our local county shelter. We get almost 1000 animals a month and people wonder why it's a "kill" shelter.

My m i l too. I met her brothers 2 or 3 times. That is all they saw them in like 15 years or more, until the uncles died.
Never see hubbies cousins.

Now, f i l had a sister, who insist on staying in touch, so I know her and her kids and her grandkids.
If it was up to my father in law, he wouldn't care if he never saw her.

But, he sees his kids and grandkids.
Well, when the kids were young, he insisted no baby equipment in his house. If you wanted to visit, bring what you needed and take it home with you.

I'm glad we live near my husband's extended family. He has three siblings. My kids always had cousins to play with. Still do. Occasionally there'll be a cousins party for them and their kids.

I might do it! After all, I did finally get the dog.
Son will be gone for good.
The cat will be gone for good, not that the seconds of interaction I have with the cat matters.

I kill two birds with one stone.
I'll volunteer and decide which cat I want to replace scratchy.
For Rusty.
He will need someone to play with.

You're progressing. I'm really happy that you started calling Rusty by name instead of "the dog."

He is bored, but he didn't even want to stay in the yard when I was out there.

Maybe we will see Buddy tonight and his human will have the time for a play date.
Or the pitbull mix puppy. He was around last night. If he comes in the yard, he will tire Rusty out!

Rusty wants so much less exercise this year. Last year he had to play every day.
That is why he is gaining weight with the same amount of food.
Try explaining that to hubby.

Nope. You had to make them before you went to Girl Scout camp so you had something -- ready for this? -- to sit upon in the woods. We got to spend a week folding up newspaper and weaving the pieces into a square.
*sigh* I knew you weren't old enough. Guess Boy Scouts didn't make them.

Hey, people with boys. Grandson wants Kung Zhu pets for his birthday. He has the center thingy for Zhu Zhu pets, will that work for the Kung Zhu pets, too? His mom says yes. I think she's wrong and I can't find anything on line to tell me one way or another.
