Hey guys, exciting times at my house! A real estate agent just showed up with a locksmith to change the locks. He says it is foreclosed. Kind of surprising since we paid cash when we purchased it from Fannie Mae! He didn't have any paperwork so he has gone back to find his paperwork. I offered to show him my closing statement but he wasn't interested. Hubby is excited. Says he hasn't sued anybody lately!

I suggested to daughter that she make up her bed. We don't want to look sloppy when the sheriff gets here. If we were at the NC house, I would be expecting Andy Griffith. I don't know who does it in SC.

LOL - There was a study that showed it is more hygienic to not make your bed so that the mattress and sheets can air out over the course of the day. I'm sticking with that philosophy.

I knew there was always a reason I never made my bed.

Unless you have a waterbed (which I had growing up), There is no good reason to make your bed.

Well I suppose if you plan on entertaining in your room and you want it to look nice, but odds are you are just going to unmake it in a few hours, especially if you like your blankets just so, like I do.

I can't stand having an unmade bed.

This is exactly my reasoning. My mom never appreciated it growing up.

Or you have cats. Unmade beds means cat bathes on sheets. Sleeping in bits of kitty litter isn't great.

sleeping in a house that has a cat in it isn't great for me... I'd imagine if one had been in my bed, I wouldn't make it through the night lol.

I used to share a bed with a cat, but that was back in the waterbed days.

I think I'd be like Tennis now, I wouldn't survive, not only does the litter cause bad things to happen, I'm also allergic to cats.

I gave up going on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. It was a walking hike and it's so cloudy/misty I probably would not see anything anyway. So I'm back at the hotel lobby where I get free internets and need to wait 2 hours before going to the airport.

I always was of the philosophy that I was just going to mess it up again in a few hours anyway, but yeah that works too.

Glad to see that. Biggest waste of time ever. The only time the bed gets "made," is when I wash the sheets or company's coming. And sometimes then the bedroom door just gets closed.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

Ok...why on earth would people jump in with 'kill/get rid of the cat' comments?

I get that not everyone likes them, but honestly, it's tiresome and doesn't say anything kind about you. The fact that I DO have cats should indicate that I like them, and am willing to share my space with them.

Has anyone ever been to the Fairchild Building in Washington, DC or know of it? And if you do, do you know if it has a parking lot/parking garage for non employee use?

Stupid contact phone numbers have been going to voice mail.

Edit: It's across from the Capitol Power Plant.

He and hubby exchanged business cards. Our real estate broker is going to call his broker. I am astounded that he showed up without any paperwork. He's on the phone now. More later!

Per an office in the building's website, metered Parking is available on the side street next to the Fairchild Building, or there is paid parking available in the parking garage or at the back of the building.
