Thanks again for a fantastic Birthday celebration. Now that you are all grown up and have developed the body of an Amazon, do you think we can change the theme of your birthday party? How about next year instead of sending out lights as a party favor, you retain the lottery and have the party favor be a donation to a worthy cause? Now I realize that you invite a lot of kids to the celebration, but don't you think we would all walk away feeling just a little bit better if we knew that our losing lottery tickets were supporting a worthy cause such as donations for restoring the Gulf Coast, feding the homeless or perhaps funding an animal shelter or two?

You could still run the lottery and the winners would still get the bags of glory, but if you think about it, the alternative to handing out lights as party favors would be as green as the page you have come....

There may be special regulations for that kind of action. Doing the Bowl of Cereal this way allows Woot to sell items as usual with the added incentive.

I got a six! And strangely enough, the last time I wooted was 7/12/09. For the very same thing. But I did not get a Blue Oyster Cult. I got a coupon code. And this time around I used my coupon for $5 off. So I got my lights and my Blue Oyster Cult for... $3.50 (fiddy cents for tax since I live *deep in the heart of Texas*). Just thought I would gloat.

I am totally screenprinting woot! on everything i get in my bag AND my bag! i hope its a camera bag, or maybe a nice re-usable woot! grocery bag, that woud be ecologically responsible, wouldn't it? With a screaming monkey wearing a bandolier of carrots while eating a bowl of cabbage with woot! on the bowl printed on it.

people wonder why i don't go out in public...this is why.

Too bad Wine Woot folks never combine with Woot folks for Bowl of Cereal. I wouldn't mine a couple bonus bottles of something.

Because I'm only 19, and they'd be in trouble for selling it to someone under age?

Woot! I've been following woot for a little more than a year now, and have somehow missed the Boxershort of Cambodia everytime, getting internal server errors or whatnot. However, as a great man once said "i make my own luck*," so i got me a Book of Crap today.

I'd rather see my purchase go to a donation rather than another set of lights I don't need.

4 1983
5 2114

Looks like any order number is fair game

Looks like the highest distribution (6) wins again...

How about selling a pound of Virginia Tobacco, wrapped in an Alaskan baby seal skin, soaked in light sweet crude from the Gulf, branded with a swastika and decorated with bald eagle feathers?

I guess it could be more offensive and environmentally unfriendly, and I bet the next few posters will make it so...

Sadly, 7 was not a lucky number this year. But, I've figured out why it was unlucky this year, and I apologize to everyone who got a 7. You see, July 12 was my and Mr. Chaia's 13th anniversary. And at 5am yesterday, I didn't remember that. So, not only was it my fault, I forgot it was my fault until about noon, at which point it was too late, I had bought my lights already.

Don't worry, next year will be 14, and that isn't unlucky at all!
