I have one of these, and they are awesome. Just keep in mind they aren't the best for watching flash videos.

I should try Flash 10.1 for mobile devices, if there is a way to do that on Windows. Maybe that'll fix my flash problem. Any ideas, anyone?

How upgradeable in the RAM department are these?

Will I be able to expand it to 4GB?

I used to scoff at these until I stayed at my folks house for a few days. She has two of these, one in the bedroom and one int he living room. Its so handy having this thing just laying around.

Mom swears her loyalty to that little booger and takes it traveling instead of her $3500.00 toshiba laptop.

And I sorta understand why. Easy, simple, portable.

Target has them for $199 in their flyer today in stores only and at limited quantities. Still, it makes this woot a little weaker.

I woot because I am.

I have an acer netbook, bought new... shuts down randomly (the power would suddenly die without warning) and crashes once in a while. I'd never buy an acer again.

my lenovo and asus netbooks run like champs... clearly they know what they're doing and you get your money's worth.

Wow, two netbooks for a little over 2 beans, awesome. Actually, i think it's a better deal that you only get one.

It's a small world.....
but I wouldn't want to paint it.

Man. i bought my Asus a few months ago and this Acer comes along with a 6 cell. when i bought my Asus, there was a choice between the Asus and Acer.

I would rather have this since it comes with the 6 cell battery. lol

good deal though! It's barely more than what I paid but you're getting the 6 cell battery.

if you max out the ram to 2gigs then you're set! I'm still waiting to upgrade my ram since I'm not noticing so much performance problems yet (its mainly a school/note taking computer). I'll be ordering a 6 cell battery soon though

Here is the review for this netbook on CNET:
http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/acer-aspire-one-532h/4505-3121_7-33960488.html?tag=mncol;lst;1

Seems like a solid buy... Unfortunately, I don't have a need for a netbook, at the moment.

I have this one in addition to a larger 12" Acer netbook. It's great for when you're on the move during the day. The 6 cell battery lasts a long time. I've yet to need a recharge during the day, and I use it throughout the day. Windows 7 starter is plenty sufficient even though many think it's an inoperable OS.
Stick in a 2GB memory, and this is a solid performer. I don't know where people get these false ideas that video won't work on this. This plays any form of video smoothly.

Well at least this one has a harddrive. The first ones didn't and you couldn't do anything on them. You save a word document and your harddrive crashes.

Not a fan of refurb low priced items these days. Been burned once too often by refurb items I've bought from woot. Items were too cheap to bother trying to get an RMA, but definitely a big hassle when the stuff clearly hasn't been "refurbished," only cleaned up a little and repackaged.

Indeed, you could say I'm pretty pissed about a number of <$100 refurb items that have bitten me from woot in recent memory, makes me rather gun-shy about items only a bit higher priced.

Oh, darnygoats! I would've liked to marklar one of these, but no can do this time around. And yes, Target has these at 199.99 right now, but local and state (CA) taxes + plus the phony-baloney 'recycling' fee we pay here in La-La Land actually make the woot a better deal.
