New mice can be had for the cost of shipping on this one.

Oh, I know. This one's special because it has the adjective "gaming" modifying the noun "mouse" in its title.

That's worth $70 right there. BUY THREE.

No mouse that you can get easily for $5 is really worth anything. Adjustable sensitivity is a must, as well as a good scroll wheel, great tracking system, form factor...

Honestly, this is a great mouse. I got it about 6 months ago and I love it. Of course I bought it for nearly twice as much. You'd be a fool to pass this up if you've been looking for an excellent mouse.

How can 11% of the people buy 2? That means 1.1 people bought 2.

Anyone?

That likely means 9 people bought 1 and 1 person bought 2. Math-man says that 1/9 = 11.1%

Speaking of math, has anyone good at math come up with an app that estimates the total quantity based on the percentages left? I mean, just like here, only certain quantities will leave a given percentage left, and the combination of percentages as the bar drops should narrow it down further.

So many people don't understand that a gaming mouse isn't just a regular mouse with LED's and a more streamlined design.

Theres everything on Gaming Mice that regular mice lack, from faster movement(on the screen), to having 5, 7, or more customizable buttons.

I for example to access my entire laptop screen only have to move my mouse left and right 1 inch, and up and down even less. The scroll wheel can TILT on some gaming mice such as mine, which functions as another button.

I use mine for copy and paste, and my side buttons for forward/backward on pages. Gaming Mice are designed to be usable for hours and hours.

I dunno if it has been solved. I've seen several posts in this woot-off where people talk like they have solved it. It would be an interesting problem.

But not instantly with the button on the mouse. For FPS, different guns have different recoils. Some people like to change their sensitivity based on what gun they're using or picked up. And this mouse has a button on it that does that.

I own this mouse, and I don't change my sensitivity while gaming or anything like that, but I know some people who do. Also people complaining about how much this mouse is, it's not for everyone. That's like saying why buy a $200,000 Lamborghini when a $10,000 Civic will get you from point A to B just the same. I will say that this mouse is really good though, and easily worth this price, and the $100+ for a new one, especially if you're a pretty serious gamer.

Train A, traveling 70 miles per hour (mph), leaves Westford heading toward Eastford, 260 miles away. At the same time Train B, traveling 60 mph, leaves Eastford heading toward Westford. When do the two trains meet? How far from each city do they meet?

I have one and I'm using it now.

Best mouse I've ever used... I use it to game from my couch on my HTPC. I'm probably ~8 feet from the receiver, but I can use it from my kitchen about 20 feet away with absolutely no hiccups. If you're thinking about buying a gaming-quality wireless mouse, then stop thinking and just buy already!

paradise wrote:Didn't mean to imply it's a bad deal. I just don't know what makes a mouse worth that much money.

The demands of a mouse for a gamer are a lot higher than a casual user....

The type of mouse you choose:
feel, glide, weight response time, precision and button locations and ability to program macros are all factors most gamers consider.

During long gaming sessions, it's not unusual for a gamers hand to stay on the mouse for hours at a time (mouse usually dictates movement in MMO's) It's also not unusual to have one of the mouses main buttons presses for long periods while your thumb / little finger run macros.

Gaming mice usually are designed for long life cycles of these types of uses. The casual web browsing mouses doesn't need to meet these demands. Gamers have high expectations from their mice and are willing to pay the $'s to get it.

Also, consider most gamers are using a gaming keyboard and possibly a separate macro board too.

It's basically the same reason that gaming computers are far more expensive than something the average person might buy. Higher expectations of performance = higher $'s willing to spend

How do you know when it's time to tune your bagpipes?
