Well I got my 2 zippi fans this morning, and I also got tracking on my IPowerPro power inverter, this is the last thing I got and am waiting for my tracking number like the rest of you...

The only shipping notification I've received (at all) from last week was the Shirt Woot I purchased (and posted about it wrongly being weighed at 50.2 lbs in a box).

They are a little slow on the shipping this time it seems.

Maybe the slower it ships, the better it becomes? More time to find crap to put in?

Yeah, but they also don't send you a check to compensate for $5/gallon milk and the other $$$ commodities one must purchase frequently. And much like Hawaii, the fine print always excludes Alaska when it comes to sales & pricing. So, to a certain degree, it all evens out...regardless if they pay you $1,300 a year or not.

Not necessarily. My last one shipped late, and woot got the address wrong; rather turn the 23.1 lb of woot goodness around and send it to the right address, they put 3 dollar tree carps into a box, forgetting my wootoff lights anyway complained and they shipped those, finally received them the day before wootoff. Maybe I'll get the 3D camera this time.

I'm not complaining, mind you, I have gotten some quality stuff in the random goodness.

We appreciate you for that, and actually, it's a main argument against imposing a sales tax. We get a lot of cross-border sales from WA and CA. People come over here and load up on a whole car of groceries or, better yet, buy a whole car!

Although I've heard that Washington is or will be imposing a law that allows them to tax you for a new car purchase once you register it in their state.

Yeah, to get your car licensed you have to pay the sales tax...same thing if you buy a manufactured home in Oregon, you still pay Washington sales tax. What's stupid is if you buy a manufactured home in Washington, you pay the sales tax rate of where the dealer is located, and if you buy in Oregon, you pay the tax rate of where it's being delivered. For us, that saved over 1.5% in tax. Makes shopping in Washington not too practical :-)
We basically do all of our major shopping in Oregon...electronics, clothes, whatever. The closest towns to me are Yakima, WA (which has over 8% tax), about 1 1/2 hours away, or The Dalles, OR, which is 35 minutes, no tax. If we need to zip to Portland, that's still only about 1/2 hour more than going to Yakima, and again, no tax. I SOOOO hope Oregon never enacts a sales tax!

Taxes....pfft....I hate taxes...I live in Charlotte, NC meaning Mecklenburg County....the taxes are OUTRAGEOUS!!

Plus, they say that things typically ship in five days, but offer no guarantee. They also don't guarantee they'll send you tracking info if and when it does ship.

Not trying to defend them too much, as I'm practically running for the wobbly chair myself, but I do make an effort not to anger the Woot gods, lest they send me nothing more than that noxious veridian Texas air.
