So now the epic battle between the remote control can be fought over the air waves instead of over who has control of the remote!

If anyone you know has has one of the HORRIBLE remotes that come with TV's these days these are a simpler alternative.

Wow, at this price it's like getting up to 4 for the price of 1. If my card weren't maxed out, I'd get like 6. Hell, being this price I swear I'd keep one in my suitcase and one in my car for those times when I go to somebody's house and they don't know where their remote is.

Great deal... cheap... worth it.. that's all that matters.

If the Remote is Universal, wouldn't you only need one to do anything? Wouldn't having two cause some sort of rift in the time space continuum?

Anyone know if they work with Olevia TV's and Comcast boxes? I have 2 of each and no remotes seem to work with both.

Do note that TiVo remotes and (all the ones I've tried) DVR remotes are programmable universal remotes, as well. You don't need these if you have one.

That figures. I just bought this remote at Wal-Mart for about $17 (only 1, so not a bad deal here).

Negative: The buttons have to be pressed pretty hard, but I'm hoping that will change with use.

Positive: Very handy "learn" function for when codes do not work or new electronics come out

Anyone know if this will work with Boxee if I have an IR receiver for the computer it is on?

CaptainWes

I need 2 of these simply as emergency remotes. I am ALWAYS losing the TiVote somewhere insane, like the refrigerator, my car, my backpack. I could chain one of these to the coffee table like those bank pens. The other, that one is going in a "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY" case. I'll never go without channel changing again.

Philips remotes have poor carbon coating on the keys. It won't get better and they don't last long compared to decent remotes.
