My Bushel of calendars has spent 3 days making the 20 mile trip between Irving, TX and Hutchins s, TX. Dallas traffic must be really bad.

Funny thing is, FedEx is telling me it should be here today. Since I don't live between Irving and Hutchins and for that matter don't live in texas. I somehow have a few reservations as to it's accuracy.

Hey, Hey! Me too and mine left as well, although I am sad that fedex hasn't updated since then. I'm assuming a sat. delivery hopefully.

Out for delivery. Still says it's 1lb.

Since my last two bags yielded copious amounts of desk calendars, I'm trying to feign enthusiasm.

Wife just told me, by Box of Crayons is in our front room.

I was so interested in it, I offered to let her open it. Apparently kids play dates are more important. So I get to wait at least 7 hours before I find out it's contents.

I'd never tie a tin can to a cat, nor get someone in trouble for nothing... Read my post again. The guy didn't bother to bring the package TWICE on TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS, and third thing like that would mean I'd have to drive over to their location in NJ (that's across the bridge into another state plus pay tolls) to retrieve my package, that I paid to have delivered to my door, or it would end up returned back to sender....

Would you in my place just sit there and say "Oh sure, the poor man must have better things to do then his direct job responsibilities, it's Ok, I can handle it, their location only closes at 5pm, so all I need is take a couple of hours off from work and get there to pick it up, not a big deal, for as long as the poor guy doesn't feel to strained to do his job!"

If you are so kind to them - let it be your way, but please remember, that the poor guy has some job responsibilities, and he is being paid for battling traffic and all those things. Paid by none other than myself, who sheds out money for S+H that is added to my orders! If he does not feel like driving in the heat - he can quit his job, but if he collects a paycheck at the end of the day, he'd better do what he's paid for.

I could possibly understand that he may have had some exceptional circumstances and done it once (though my personal opinion is, if that's what happened, he should've put an honest exception, that unable to deliver due to unexpected circumstances, or whatever they have there, not lie about me not being home). But twice in a row? I beg your pardon! I had to make sure it doesn't happen for the third time...

And if you thing that by saying "have some fun" I meant that I actually enjoyed spending an hour of my time talking to different people and trying to get my package to my home, you're making a big mistake....

If you read my reply to the writer who said "Science forbid that he do his job", you would understand where I'm coming from. I wasn't upset because you got the driver in trouble, I don't believe you did. I was upset because you seem to get too much enjoyment at the sight of the driver running back to his truck, because you seem to believe that he was scared to face you.

I can almost guarantee you that the driver was told to cut off his delivering, to either make pickups or because he had bigger customers than you. The excuse that the manager used is to take the blame off of the company and put it on the driver. I've seen it happen too many times not to believe any different. I don't care for FedEx, they are too slow and they don't treat their drivers well. At least you got your package, I had 3 Woot off lights that FedEx claims they dropped off at my local Post Office and they are MIA. My local Post Office is about the size of my living room, it serves a small town on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. You can see every package that that have on the selves behind the counter and they don't deliver to homes here. They have never lost anything of mine before, I believe FedEx lost it. Woot doesn't have any more of the police lights, so they are sending me a refund.

As far as you paying his salary, do you tell a cop that you are paying his when he pulls you over? Probably.

Has anyone noticed that the posted tracking weights and the crap received don't seem to match?

So someone says their Box Of Calendars weighed 11.4 lbs, but posted a list that is exactly the same or closely similar to another Wooter who reports their Benevolent Order of Cormorants weight as 5.8 (or whatever) pounds?

I think I'll weigh my contents and see what the total is.

Curious.

The local hub is more concerned in how much freight they pick up rather than how much they deliver. If they have to decide between making a customer who ships a lot of packages mad and some guy waiting for one package at his house, guess which one they choose?

The driver wasn't running because he was scared to face the customer who complained, he was running because they are on such a tight schedule that they don't have time to listen to listen to him cry. Another customer might not get their package if they spend time listening to him.

You're lucky if they don't pee in your cup. :-). I avoid restaurants, I've heard too many horror stories on the sanitary conditions at even the so called better restaurants.

I wasn't defending FedEx, I was defending the driver. The way you can tell that a dispatcher is lying is to see if his lips are moving.

Yea! My Box of Calendars made it safe and sound to Atlanta. It was weighed, and measured, and it metamorphosed! In Dallas it was 30.6 lbs in a 17x17x17 cube. Somewhere on I-20 it went to 30.8 lbs and to a 28x28x8 brick!

Still estimating delivery to Alabama on Wednesday, but I'll make a trip to the post office on Saturday if it comes in then!
